आज के पहले पाठ में हम देखते हैं कि प्रेरित पौलुस रोम पहुँचते हैं। वह एक स्वतंत्र कैदी के रूप में रहता है, जिसका अर्थ है कि वह पहरेदारी में था लेकिन उसे प्रचार करने की अनुमति थी। वहाँ वह यहूदियों और अन्य लोगों को प्रभु यीशु के बारे में सिखाता रहा। पौलुस ने दो वर्षों तक रोम में रहते हुए निर्भीकता से प्रचार किया, और कोई भी उसे रोक नहीं सका।

यह पाठ हमें यह सिखाता है कि जब हम प्रभु के लिए कार्य करते हैं, तो कठिनाइयाँ आएंगी, लेकिन ईश्वर हमेशा हमारे साथ रहेगा। परिस्थितियाँ कठिन हो सकती हैं, लेकिन हमें हिम्मत नहीं हारनी चाहिए। पौलुस कैद में था, फिर भी उसने प्रभु के राज्य की घोषणा करना जारी रखा। हमें भी अपने जीवन में इसी प्रकार ईश्वर के प्रति विश्वासयोग्य बने रहना चाहिए।

आज के सुसमाचार में हम देखते हैं कि जब पेत्रुस योहन के बारे में प्रभु से पूछता है, तो प्रभु उससे कहते हैं, “यदि मैं चाहूँ कि वह बना रहे जब तक मैं न आऊँ, तो इससे तुझे क्या?” प्रभु यहाँ पेत्रुस को सिखा रहे हैं कि वह दूसरों के जीवन की चिंता करने के बजाय अपने बुलावे पर ध्यान दे। हर व्यक्ति के लिए ईश्वर की एक अलग योजना होती है।

इस पाठ से हमें यह सिखने को मिलता है कि हमें अपने जीवन में प्रभु की इच्छा को पहचानना चाहिए और उसी पर ध्यान केंद्रित करना चाहिए। हमें दूसरों से तुलना करने की आवश्यकता नहीं है, बल्कि यह समझने की जरूरत है कि प्रभु ने हमें किस कार्य के लिए बुलाया है।

पौलुस और योहन दोनों ने अपने-अपने ढंग से सुसमाचार फैलाया—एक ने रोम में खुले रूप से प्रचार किया, और दूसरे ने लेखन के माध्यम से प्रभु की गवाही दी। यह हमें सिखाता है कि ईश्वर हमें विभिन्न तरीकों से बुलाते हैं, लेकिन हमारा लक्ष्य एक ही होना चाहिए—प्रभु येसु के प्रेम और सत्य की घोषणा करना। पौलुस और योहन दोनों ने अपने-अपने तरीकों से प्रभु के लिए कार्य किया। पौलुस ने खुलकर प्रचार किया, जबकि योहन ने अपने लेखन के माध्यम से प्रभु की गवाही दी। यह हमें सिखाता है कि ईश्वर हम सभी को अलग-अलग तरीकों से उपयोग करते हैं, लेकिन हर एक का लक्ष्य एक ही है—प्रभु की महिमा करना और उसके राज्य की सेवा करना।

आज के पाठ हमें तीन महत्वपूर्ण शिक्षाएँ देते हैं:

1. विश्वास में दृढ़ रहें, चाहे कितनी भी कठिनाइयाँ आएँ।
2. अपने व्यक्तिगत बुलावे पर ध्यान दें, न कि दूसरों से तुलना करें।
3. प्रभु के प्रेम और सत्य को अपने अनूठे तरीके से फैलाएँ।

आज के पाठ हमें ईश्वर की योजना पर भरोसा करने, अपने व्यक्तिगत बुलावे पर ध्यान केंद्रित करने और विश्वास और धैर्य के साथ उनकी सेवा करने के लिए प्रेरित करते हैं। आइए, हम प्रार्थना करें कि हम परीक्षाओं में दृढ़ रहें, अपने मिशन के प्रति आज्ञाकारी रहें और अपने अनूठे तरीकों से ख्रीस्त का प्रचार करें। आमेन।

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

In today’s First Reading, we see that Paul arrives in Rome. Although he was under house arrest, he was still given the freedom to preach. Even in chains, Paul continued to teach about Jesus to the Jews and others who came to him. For two years, he boldly proclaimed the Kingdom of God, and no one could stop him.

It teaches us that when we work for the Lord, challenges will come, but God will always be with us. The situation may seem difficult, but we must not lose courage. Paul was in captivity, yet he continued to preach about God’s Kingdom. We too, in our own lives, must remain faithful to God, even in trials. As St. Paul himself wrote, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).

In today’s Gospel, we see a conversation between Peter and Jesus. When Peter asks Jesus about John, Jesus replies, “If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you?” Through these words, Jesus teaches Peter that instead of focusing on others’ lives, he must focus on his own calling. God has a different plan for each person, and it is important that we trust in His will rather than compare our lives with others.

This passage teaches us that we must seek God’s purpose in our own lives and stay focused on it. Instead of comparing ourselves with others, we must understand what God has called us to do. Jesus’ words remind us that every person has a unique mission, and our duty is to fulfill it with faith and obedience. As St. Paul says, “We are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:10).

Both Paul and John spread the Gospel in different ways—one preached openly in Rome, and the other witnessed through his writings. This teaches us that God calls us in different ways, but the mission remains the same—to proclaim the love and truth of Jesus Christ. Paul spoke boldly, while John wrote the testimony of Jesus. This shows that God uses each of us uniquely, but our common goal is to glorify Him and serve His Kingdom.

Today’s readings teach us three important lessons:

1. Remain steadfast in faith, no matter the challenges.
2. Focus on your personal calling, not on comparing with others.
3. Proclaim the love and truth of Christ in your unique way.

May today’s readings inspire us to trust in God’s plan, focus on our personal calling, and serve Him with faithfulness and perseverance. Let us pray that we may be strong in trials, obedient to our mission, and committed to proclaiming Christ in our own unique ways. Amen.
