प्रभु येसु ख्रीस्त में प्यारे भाइयों और बहनों,

आज के पहले पाठ में हम देखते हैं कि प्रेरित पौलुस को यहूदियों ने झूठे आरोप लगाकर रोमी अधिकारियों के सामने खड़ा कर दिया था। जब राजा अग्रिप्पा और राज्यपाल फेस्तुस इस मामले की चर्चा कर रहे थे, तो यह स्पष्ट हुआ कि पौलुस के खिलाफ कोई गंभीर अपराध नहीं था। यहूदी नेता उसे इसलिए दोषी ठहराना चाहते थे क्योंकि वह यीशु के पुनरुत्थान की घोषणा कर रहा था। पौलुस जानता था कि उसे न्याय नहीं मिलेगा, इसलिए उसने रोमी सम्राट के सामने अपील की।

इस पाठ से हमें यह शिक्षा मिलती है कि जब हम सच्चाई और विश्वास के मार्ग पर चलते हैं, तो हमें कठिनाइयों का सामना करना पड़ सकता है। पौलुस को कैद किया गया, लेकिन उसने हिम्मत नहीं हारी। उसने हर परिस्थिति में प्रभु के राज्य की गवाही दी। हमें भी यह याद रखना चाहिए कि जब हम सुसमाचार का प्रचार करेंगे, तो विरोध और कठिनाइयाँ आएंगी, लेकिन हमें ईश्वर में भरोसा रखना चाहिए।

आज के सुसमाचार में हम देखते हैं कि प्रभु येसु अपने पुनरुत्थान के बाद अपने शिष्यों से मिलते हैं। वे पेत्रुस से तीन बार पूछते हैं, “क्या तू मुझसे प्रेम करता है?” हर बार जब पेत्रुस “हाँ” कहता है, तो प्रभु उसे अपनी भेड़ों की देखभाल करने का आदेश देते हैं। यह घटना हमें याद दिलाती है कि पेत्रुस ने यीशु का तीन बार इनकार किया था, लेकिन यहाँ प्रभु उसे पुनः स्थापित कर रहे हैं और उसे कलीसिया का नेतृत्व सौंप रहे हैं।

इस सुसमाचार से हमें यह शिक्षा मिलती है कि प्रभु हमें दूसरा मौका देते हैं। हमारी गलतियाँ हमारी बुलाहट को खत्म नहीं कर सकतीं। जब हम ईमानदारी से पश्चाताप करते हैं, तो प्रभु हमें फिर से अपनी सेवा के लिए तैयार करते हैं।

पौलुस और पेत्रुस दोनों ने अपने जीवन में कठिनाइयों का सामना किया। पौलुस को कैद में डाला गया, लेकिन उसने सुसमाचार का प्रचार करना नहीं छोड़ा। पेत्रुस ने प्रभु का इनकार किया था, लेकिन बाद में वह कलीसिया का एक महान नेता बना। दोनों उदाहरण हमें यह सिखाते हैं कि हमारी असफलताएँ हमें प्रभु की सेवा से नहीं रोक सकतीं। जब हम प्रभु से प्रेम करते हैं और उसके बुलावे का उत्तर देते हैं, तो वह हमें नया जीवन देता है और हमें अपने राज्य में सेवा करने योग्य बनाता है।

आज के पाठ हमें तीन महत्वपूर्ण शिक्षाएँ देते हैं:

1. सच्चाई और विश्वास के लिए निडर होकर खड़े रहें, भले ही हमें कठिनाइयों का सामना करना पड़े।
2. हमारी गलतियाँ हमें प्रभु की सेवा से अयोग्य नहीं बनातीं; पश्चाताप और प्रेम हमें नया जीवन देता है।
3. प्रभु की सेवा में प्रेम और नम्रता के साथ आगे बढ़ें, क्योंकि ईश्वर हमें कभी अकेला नहीं छोड़ता।

आज के पाठ हमें विश्वास में दृढ़ रहने, ईश्वर की दया पर भरोसा करने और उनकी दी हुई ज़िम्मेदारी को स्वीकार करने के लिए प्रेरित करते हैं। आइए, हम प्रभु से प्रेम करने और उनकी भेड़ों की देखभाल करने की कृपा माँगें। आमेन।

Beloved Brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ,

In today’s First Reading, we see that Paul was falsely accused by the Jewish leaders and brought before the Roman authorities. When King Agrippa and Governor Festus discussed Paul’s case, it became clear that there was no real crime committed by Paul. The Jewish leaders wanted to condemn him simply because he preached about the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Paul, knowing that he would not receive a fair trial, exercised his right as a Roman citizen and appealed to the emperor in Rome.

This passage teaches us an important lesson: when we walk in truth and faith, we may face opposition and trials. Paul was imprisoned, but he never lost hope. Instead, he used every opportunity to testify to the Kingdom of God. Similarly, when we preach the Gospel or stand for our Christian values, we may face challenges, misunderstandings, or even persecution. However, we must remember that God is always with us, strengthening us to remain firm. As Jesus said, “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 5:10).

In today’s Gospel, we see a beautiful and emotional conversation between Jesus and Peter. After His resurrection, Jesus appears to His disciples and asks Peter three times, “Do you love me?” Each time Peter responds, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” In response, Jesus commands him “Feed my sheep.”

This reminds us of Peter’s threefold denial of Jesus during His Passion. Now, Jesus is restoring Peter, reaffirming his calling as the leader of the Church. This moment is not just about forgiveness, but about trust and responsibility. Jesus is entrusting Peter with the duty of shepherding His people, even after Peter’s past failure.

This Gospel passage teaches us that our mistakes do not disqualify us from God’s calling. Peter denied Jesus, yet he was not rejected; he was given a second chance. The same is true for us. Our failures and weaknesses do not define us; what matters is our repentance and love for the Lord. As St. Paul later writes, “Where sin increased, grace abounded all the more” (Romans 5:20). When we sincerely turn back to God, He restores us, strengthens us, and calls us to serve Him.

Both Paul and Peter faced great struggles in their lives. Paul was imprisoned, but he never stopped preaching the Gospel. Peter denied Jesus, but he later became the great leader of the Church. Their lives show us that God can transform our failures into testimonies of His grace. No matter what mistakes we have made in the past, if we love Jesus and respond to His call, He will renew us and use us for His Kingdom.

Today’s readings encourage us to remain strong in faith, trust in God’s mercy, and embrace the mission He has given us. Let us pray for the grace to love Jesus wholeheartedly and serve His people with humility and courage. Amen.
