प्रभु येसु ख्रीस्त में प्यारे भाइयों और बहनों,

आज का पवित्र वचन हमें मसीही सेवा और पूर्ण समर्पण का संदेश देता है। पहला पाठ प्रेरित चरित से लिया गया है, जहाँ संत पौलुस एफ़ेसुस के कलीसियाई अगुवों से विदाई लेते हैं। सुसमाचार में प्रभु येसु पिता से प्रार्थना करते हैं कि वे अपने शिष्यों को संसार में सुरक्षित रखें और उन्हें एकता में बनाए रखें। इन दोनों पठन से हमें तीन महत्वपूर्ण शिक्षाएँ मिलती हैं: विश्वासयोग्य सेवा, ईश्वर की महिमा और एकता का आह्वान।

संत पौलुस एफ़ेसुस के अध्यक्षों को बुलाते हैं और अपने कार्य के बारे में बताते हैं। वे कहते हैं कि उन्होंने नम्रता, आँसुओं और कठिनाइयों में भी ईश्वर की सेवा की। उन्होंने सुसमाचार के संदेश को निडर होकर प्रचार किया और यहूदी तथा अन्यजातियों को पश्चाताप और विश्वास का आह्वान दिया। सबसे महत्वपूर्ण बात यह है कि वे अपने जीवन की चिंता नहीं करते, बल्कि केवल इस बात की परवाह करते हैं कि वे प्रभु येसु द्वारा सौंपे गए कार्य को पूरा करें। यह हमें याद दिलाता है कि हमारी बुलाहट केवल आराम और सुख के लिए नहीं है, बल्कि त्याग और सेवाभाव के लिए है। एक सच्चा मसीही सेवक अपनी इच्छाओं से अधिक ईश्वर की इच्छा को प्राथमिकता देता है।

सुसमाचार में, प्रभु येसु प्रार्थना करते हैं, “पिता, वह घड़ी आ गई है। अपने पुत्र की महिमा कर, ताकि तेरा पुत्र तेरी महिमा करे” (योहन 17:1)। येसु ने पृथ्वी पर अपने मिशन को पूरा करके पिता की महिमा की। उन्होंने सत्य का प्रचार किया, अपने शिष्यों को सिखाया और उन्हें उनके मिशन के लिए तैयार किया। येसु ने संसार के लिए नहीं, बल्कि उनके लिए प्रार्थना की जिन्हें पिता ने उन्हें सौंपा था, ताकि वे बुराई से बचे रहें और सत्य में पवित्र बनें (योहन 17:9-11)। यह हमें सिखाता है कि हमारे जीवन का उद्देश्य अपने प्रत्येक कार्य में ईश्वर की महिमा करना है।

येसु अपने शिष्यों के लिए प्रार्थना करते हैं कि “पवित्र पिता, उन्हें अपने नाम की शक्ति से सुरक्षित रख, ताकि वे एक हों जैसे हम एक हैं” (योहन 17:11)। वे हमें याद दिलाते हैं कि हम संसार में हैं, लेकिन संसार के नहीं हैं। कलीसिया के सदस्यों के रूप में, हमें प्रेम और एकता में जीना चाहिए। हमें मतभेदों को दूर करके ख्रीस्त के एक शरीर के रूप में एक साथ कार्य करना चाहिए।

आज के पाठ हमें तीन शिक्षाएँ देते हैं:

1. निडर सेवा: संत पौलुस की तरह हमें भी ईश्वर की सेवा में निडर रहना चाहिए।
2. ईश्वर की महिमा: हमारे प्रत्येक कार्य और जीवन का उद्देश्य ईश्वर की महिमा करना होना चाहिए।
3. एकता और प्रेम: येसु की प्रार्थना हमें सिखाती है कि हम अपने मतभेदों को भूलकर कलीसिया में एकता और प्रेम बनाए रखें।

आज का सुसमाचार और पहला पाठ हमें अपने जीवन को पूरी तरह ईश्वर को समर्पित करने के लिए प्रेरित करता है। संत पौलुस हमें सिखाते हैं कि सच्चा सेवक अपने जीवन की चिंता नहीं करता, बल्कि सुसमाचार प्रचार के कार्य में लगा रहता है। प्रभु येसु हमें सिखाते हैं कि हमें ईश्वर की महिमा के लिए जीना चाहिए और एकता में बने रहना चाहिए। हे प्रभु, हमें अपनी सेवा में विश्वासयोग्य बनाए रख, ताकि हम अपने जीवन से तेरी महिमा कर सकें। आमेन।

Beloved Brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ,

Today's sacred readings give us a powerful message about Christian service and complete surrender to God. The first reading, from the Acts of the Apostles, describes St. Paul’s farewell to the elders of Ephesus. In the Gospel, Jesus prays to the Father, asking Him to protect His disciples and keep them united. These readings teach us three important lessons: faithful service, glorifying God, and the call to unity.

St. Paul calls the elders of Ephesus and reminds them of how he served the Lord with humility, tears, and trials (Acts 20:19). He did not hesitate to preach the Gospel boldly, calling both Jews and Gentiles to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ (Acts 20:21). Most importantly, he says, “I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me” (Acts 20:24). This reminds us that our Christian calling is not about comfort and ease but about sacrifice and commitment. A true servant of Christ does not seek his own will, but God’s will.

In today’s Gospel, Jesus prays, “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son may glorify you” (John 17:1). Jesus glorified the Father by fulfilling His mission on earth. He revealed the truth, taught His disciples, and prepared them for their mission. Jesus did not pray for the world but for those whom the Father had given Him, that they might be protected from evil and sanctified in truth (John 17:9-11). This teaches us that our life’s purpose is to glorify God in all we do.

Jesus also prays for His disciples, saying, “Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, so that they may be one as we are one” (John 17:11). He reminds us that though we live in this world, we do not belong to it. As members of the Church, we are called to live in love and unity. We must overcome divisions and work together as one body in Christ.

Today's readings teach us three important lessons:

1. Fearless Service: Like St. Paul, we should boldly serve God without fear.
2. Glorifying God: Our goal in life should be to glorify God in all that we do.
3. Unity and Love: We must overcome differences and remain united in Christ.

Today's readings call us to fully dedicate our lives to God. St. Paul teaches us that true discipleship means giving our all for the Gospel. Jesus reminds us to live for God’s glory and stay united in faith. Lord, help us to remain faithful in our service, glorify you in all things, and live in unity as one Church. Amen.
