हम एक ऐसी दुनिया में रहते हैं जहाँ हर कोई किसी न किसी खजाने की खोज में लगा रहता है। आज के समय में, हमारी जीवन की कीमत सफलता, धन, प्रतिष्ठा और सामाजिक स्थिति से मापी जाती है। हमारी सारी योजनाएँ और कार्य कुछ बड़ा हासिल करने के उद्देश्य से प्रेरित होते हैं, जिससे अक्सर दूसरों का महत्व कम हो जाता है। जब हम केवल सांसारिक लक्ष्यों को ही अपने जीवन का खजाना मान लेते हैं, तो हम किसी अत्यंत मूल्यवान चीज़ को खो देते हैं।

आज के सुसमाचार में, प्रभु येसु हमें ईश्वर के राज्य की विरासत के बारे में दो दृष्टांतों के माध्यम से गहरी शिक्षा देते हैं – छिपे हुए खजाने और अनमोल मोती का दृष्टांत। दोनों दृष्टांतों में, प्रभु येसु ईश्वर के राज्य की अपार महत्ता और उसे पाने की मानसिकता पर बल देते हैं। ईश्वर का राज्य वह खजाना है जो किसी भी सांसारिक संपत्ति से अधिक मूल्यवान है, लेकिन उसे प्राप्त करने के लिए हमें सब कुछ त्यागना पड़ता है।

हमारे वास्तविक जीवन में भी यही स्थिति होती है। हम कुछ बड़ा हासिल करने के लिए कई त्याग करते हैं – धन गँवाते हैं, ऋण लेते हैं, स्थान परिवर्तन करते हैं, आदि। लेकिन यह सब कुछ केवल अस्थायी लाभ के लिए होता है। प्रभु येसु हमें एक ऐसे खजाने की ओर संकेत करते हैं जो अनंत, अनमोल और किसी भी सांसारिक प्रसिद्धि से बड़ा है – वह खजाना हमारे हृदयों में छिपा हुआ है।

ईश्वर का राज्य केवल भौतिक संसार पर किसी मानव राजा का शासन नहीं है। यह प्रेम, शांति और न्याय से भरा हुआ एक सामंजस्यपूर्ण जीवन है, जहाँ हर कोई दूसरों की भलाई चाहता है, करुणा और सम्मान के साथ व्यवहार करता है, और जहाँ प्रेम और त्याग सर्वोच्च मूल्य होते हैं। हमें इसी खजाने की खोज करनी है, जो हमारे हृदयों में स्थित है। जो कोई इस राज्य के मूल्यों को अपनाता है, वही वास्तविक आनंद का अनुभव करता है।

पहले पाठ में, हम देखते हैं कि मूसा का चेहरा ईश्वर की उपस्थिति में चमक उठता है, जब वह उनसे बात करता है। यह हमें सिखाता है कि जब हम ईश्वर के निकट आते हैं, तो हमारा जीवन भी उनके प्रेम और सत्य से प्रकाशित होता है। यह प्रकाश हमें संसार में उनके राज्य को जीने और दूसरों तक पहुँचाने के लिए प्रेरित करता है।

आज के पाठ हमें तीन महत्वपूर्ण शिक्षाएँ देते हैं:

1. ईश्वर का राज्य सबसे अनमोल खजाना है, जिसके लिए हमें सब कुछ त्यागने को तैयार रहना चाहिए।
2. प्रेम, शांति और न्याय के मूल्यों को अपनाकर हम अपने हृदय में छिपा खजाना पा सकते हैं।
3. ईश्वर की उपस्थिति हमारे जीवन को परिवर्तित करती है और हमें दूसरों की भलाई के लिए कार्य करने की प्रेरणा देती है।

आइए, हम प्रभु से यह अनुग्रह माँगें कि हम इस अनमोल खजाने को खोजने में सफल हों और एक ऐसा समाज स्थापित करें जहाँ ईश्वर का प्रेम, शांति और न्याय प्रबल हो। आमेन।

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus,

We live in a world where everyone is desperately running after finding a treasure. In the present-day context, the worth of our life is determined by the success we achieve, the wealth we acquire, the name, fame, and status we gain, and the special status we have in society. All our thoughts, plans, and actions are oriented towards achieving something greater in life, which often puts others down. When we target these worldly objectives as our treasure, we surely miss out on something most precious and invaluable.

In today’s gospel, Jesus gives us a profound teaching about the inheritance of the Kingdom of God through the parable of hidden treasure and the parable of a merchant. In both parables, Jesus emphasizes the immeasurable value of the Kingdom of God and the attitude of its inheritors. Jesus compares God’s Kingdom to a hidden treasure and a precious pearl, which in human terms can provide a comfortable life for generations to anyone who attains it. At the same time, it requires the sacrifice of everything from the person who wants to inherit it.

In our real-life situations, we experience the same as well. In order to achieve something greater, we make many sacrifices in life. It involves losing wealth, taking loans, buying and selling, migrating from one place to another, etc. In all these, what we sacrifice and achieve is only temporary. However, Jesus speaks of a treasure which is eternal, more precious than any pearl, greater than any fame one can imagine, and that which is hidden in our own hearts.

The Kingdom of God is not just the rule of a human king over a material world. Rather, it is a harmonious life guided by Christian values of love, peace, and justice, where everyone seeks the well-being of others, treats others with compassion and dignity, and where the golden rule is radical love and sacrifice of the self. We are called to hunt after such a treasure, which is not hidden anywhere else but lies deep within our hearts. Anyone who lives out these kingdom values will experience the real joy of finding the great treasure of great value, and all other treasures will be automatically added unto their life.

In the first reading, we see that Moses’ face shone with radiance after being in God’s presence. This teaches us that when we draw near to God, our lives are illuminated by His love and truth, inspiring us to live out His Kingdom in the world.

Today’s readings teach us three important lessons:

1. The Kingdom of God is the most precious treasure, worth sacrificing everything for.
2. By embracing the values of love, peace, and justice, we discover the treasure hidden in our hearts.
3. God’s presence transforms our lives and inspires us to work for the good of others.

Let us beseech the Lord to grant us the grace to find this treasure in our lives and establish a harmonious society where God’s love, peace, and justice prevail. Amen.
