ख्रिस्त में प्रिय भाइयो और बहनो,

आज माता कलीसिया प्रभु के रूपांतरण का पर्व मनाती है। प्रभु का रूपांतरण प्रभु येसु की दिव्यता की सार्वजनिक अभिव्यक्ति है। रूपांतरण के समय शिष्य पेत्रुस, योहन और याकूब ने येसु की दिव्यता की पुष्टि को निकट से देखा। यह अनुभव उनके जीवन में इतना शक्तिशाली था कि इसने उनके विश्वास को परिवर्तित कर उसे और दृढ़ बना दिया। संभवतः इस गहरे अनुभव ने उनके विश्वास को इस हद तक मजबूत कर दिया कि बाद में पेत्रुस ने प्रभु येसु को मसीह के रूप में घोषित किया। सुसमाचार में वर्णित है कि रूपांतरण के समय स्वर्ग से एक वाणी सुनाई पड़ी, “यह मेरा परमप्रिय पुत्र है। इसकी सुनो।” यह पिता ईश्वर की ओर से वहाँ उपस्थित शिष्यों को दिया गया सीधा आदेश था।

पहले पाठ में, दानिएल की पुस्तक हमें ईश्वर की महिमा और उनके अनंत साम्राज्य का दर्शन देती है, जहाँ “मानव-पुत्र” को सारी शक्ति और अधिकार दिया गया। यह हमें प्रभु येसु की दिव्यता और उनके शाश्वत राज की याद दिलाता है। दूसरे पाठ में, संत पेत्रुस हमें विश्वास दिलाते हैं कि रूपांतरण का अनुभव कोई काल्पनिक कहानी नहीं थी, बल्कि एक सच्चा और शक्तिशाली अनुभव था, जो हमें प्रभु की महिमा में विश्वास करने के लिए प्रेरित करता है।

आज वही आदेश हमें भी दिया जाता है – कि हम प्रभु को गहराई से जानें, उन्हें गहराई से अनुभव करें, सच्चे मन से प्रेम करें, निकटता से उनका अनुसरण करें, ध्यानपूर्वक उनकी सुनें और विनम्रतापूर्वक उनकी आज्ञा का पालन करें। प्रभु के शिष्यों के रूप में, यह आवश्यक है कि हम उनमें विश्वास करें और उनकी शिक्षाओं के अनुसार जिएँ, चाहे यह कितना भी कठिन क्यों न हो।

आज के शोरगुल भरे संसार में प्रभु की आवाज़ सुनना हमारे लिए बहुत चुनौतीपूर्ण हो सकता है। हमारे दैनिक जीवन की परिस्थितियों में भी हमें अपने संशय, उदासीनता, अविश्वास और आध्यात्मिक शुष्कता से बाहर आने की आवश्यकता है। प्रभु का रूपांतरण हमें यह सिखाता है कि उनकी उपस्थिति हमारे जीवन को बदल सकती है, बशर्ते हम उनके प्रति खुले हृदय और दृढ़ विश्वास के साथ आएँ।

आज के पाठ हमें तीन महत्वपूर्ण शिक्षाएँ देते हैं:

1. प्रभु की दिव्यता को पहचानना और उनकी आवाज़ सुनना हमें उनके शिष्य बनाता है।
2. विश्वास के साथ प्रभु की इच्छा का पालन करने से हमारा जीवन परिवर्तित हो सकता है।
3. संसार की व्यस्तता और शोर के बीच हमें प्रभु की उपस्थिति में शांति और मार्गदर्शन प्राप्त करना चाहिए।

आइए, हम प्रभु से प्रार्थना करें कि वे हमें पेत्रुस, योहन और याकूब की तरह उनके रूपांतरण के अनुभव में हिस्सा लेने और उनकी आवाज़ को सुनने की कृपा प्रदान करें। आमेन।

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus,

Today, the Mother Church celebrates the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord. The Transfiguration is a public manifestation of Christ as a divine being. During this event, the disciples Peter, John, and James closely witnessed the divine affirmation of Jesus’ sonship. This experience was so powerful in their lives that it transformed and strengthened their faith in Christ. It likely deepened their faith to such an extent that it enabled Peter to later declare Jesus as the Messiah. The gospel states that during the Transfiguration, a voice from heaven declared, “This is my Son, my Chosen One; listen to him!” This was a direct command from God the Father to the disciples present at the event.

In the first reading, the Book of Daniel presents a vision of God’s glory and His eternal kingdom, where the “Son of Man” is given all power and authority. This reminds us of Jesus’ divinity and His everlasting reign. In the second reading, St. Peter assures us that the Transfiguration was not a fabricated story but a true and powerful experience that inspires us to believe in the Lord’s glory.

Today, the same command is given to us: to know Christ deeply, to experience Him intensely, to love Him genuinely, to follow Him closely, to listen to Him attentively, and to obey Him humbly. As disciples of Christ, it is vital that we believe in Him and live by His teachings, integrating His will into our vision of life, even when it is challenging.

In today’s noisy world, listening to Christ’s voice can be very difficult. In our practical life situations, we too need to transform ourselves from doubtfulness, indifference, inauthenticity, and spiritual dryness. The Transfiguration teaches us that Christ’s presence can transform our lives, provided we approach Him with open hearts and steadfast faith.

Today’s readings teach us three important lessons:

1. Recognizing Christ’s divinity and listening to His voice makes us His disciples.
2. Following God’s will with faith can transform our lives.
3. Amid the noise and busyness of the world, we must seek God’s presence for peace and guidance.

Let us pray that God grants us the grace, like Peter, John, and James, to share in the experience of the Transfiguration and to listen to His voice. Amen.
