ख्रिस्त में प्रिय भाइयो और बहनो,

एक प्रसिद्ध कहावत है, “छोटी-छोटी पानी की बूँदें मिलकर एक विशाल सागर बनाती हैं।” इसका अर्थ है कि जब छोटे और महत्वहीन लगने वाले संसाधनों को साझा किया जाता है, तो वे किसी के जीवन में और दूसरों के जीवन में भी बड़ा प्रभाव डाल सकते हैं। हमारे ईश्वर, जो हर चीज़ के दाता हैं, एक सामर्थी ईश्वर हैं, जो नगण्य चीज़ों को भी अत्यधिक महत्वपूर्ण बना सकते हैं।

आज के सुसमाचार में हम पढ़ते हैं कि प्रभु येसु ने पाँच हज़ार से अधिक लोगों को चमत्कारिक रूप में भोजन कराया। हम सभी इस चमत्कार से परिचित हैं। यह उल्लेखनीय है कि एक छोटे लड़के की उदारता ने यीशु के इस चमत्कार में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई। उस लड़के ने अपनी पाँच रोटियाँ और दो मछलियाँ, जो उस बड़ी भीड़ के सामने नगण्य थीं, निःस्वार्थ रूप से समर्पित कीं। यीशु ने उन्हें चमत्कारिक रूप से बढ़ाकर हजारों लोगों को तृप्त किया। यह हमें सिखाता है कि जो चीज़ें संसार की दृष्टि में महत्वहीन लगती हैं, वे ईश्वर के हाथों में महान उद्देश्य के लिए प्रयुक्त हो सकती हैं।

पहले पाठ में, हम देखते हैं कि इस्राएलियों ने मिस्र की सुख-सुविधाओं की लालसा की और मूसा के सामने शिकायत की। मूसा ने ईश्वर से प्रार्थना की, और ईश्वर ने उनकी ज़रूरतों को पूरा किया। यह हमें सिखाता है कि जब हम अपनी कमज़ोरियों और सीमाओं को ईश्वर के सामने लाते हैं, तो वह हमारी पेशकश को स्वीकार करता है और उसे अपने महान कार्यों के लिए उपयोग करता है।

आज माता कलीसिया हमारे सामने संत जॉन मारिया वियन्नी को प्रस्तुत करती है, जो एक विनम्र पुरोहित थे। दुनिया ने उन्हें मूर्ख, अयोग्य और महत्वहीन समझा, लेकिन ईश्वर ने उन्हें पापियों के हृदय परिवर्तन के लिए सामर्थी साधन के रूप में प्रयोग किया। संत वियन्नी ने अपने पास की हर चीज़ पूर्ण रूप से ईश्वर को समर्पित कर दी, ठीक उसी तरह जैसे वह छोटा बालक अपनी रोटियाँ और मछलियाँ प्रभु को समर्पित किया था। प्रभु ने उनमें आध्यात्मिक शक्ति को बढ़ाया और उनके माध्यम से अनेक भटके हुए लोगों को अपनी ओर आकर्षित किया।

अब यह हमारी बारी है कि हम भी अपने पास जो कुछ है, उसे सच्चे प्रेम, विनम्रता और सरलता के साथ प्रभु को समर्पित करें। हमारा ईश्वर नगण्य को महत्वपूर्ण, अयोग्य को योग्य और न्यूनतम को अधिकतम में बदल सकता है।

आज के पाठ हमें तीन महत्वपूर्ण शिक्षाएँ देते हैं:

1. हमारी छोटी-सी पेशकश भी ईश्वर के हाथों में महान चमत्कार ला सकती है।
2. विनम्रता और उदारता के साथ प्रभु को समर्पित करना हमें उनके कार्य के लिए योग्य बनाता है।
3. ईश्वर हमारी कमज़ोरियों को अपनी शक्ति में बदल सकता है।

आइए, हम प्रभु से प्रार्थना करें कि वे हमें संत जॉन मारिया वियन्नी की तरह अपने पास जो कुछ है, उसे पूर्ण रूप से समर्पित करने और उनके चमत्कारों के लिए खुले रहने की कृपा दें। आमेन।

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus,

There is a famous saying, “Little drops of water turn into a great ocean.” It is to say that even small and insignificant things, when they are shared, can cause a greater impact in one’s life and in the lives of others. God, the giver of all things, is a powerful God who changes the insignificant into things of greater significance.

In today’s gospel, we read the episode of Jesus feeding the five thousand and more people. We are very familiar with this miraculous feeding of Jesus, where only five loaves of bread and two fish were multiplied into a great amount of food that quenched the hunger of a great multitude of people. It is interesting to note that the generous giving of the little boy of the minimum that he had was instrumental in this miracle. It implies that the things that seem insignificant in the sight of the world can be used by God for a greater cause.

In the first reading, we see that the Israelites complained to Moses about their lack of food, longing for the comforts of Egypt. Moses brought their needs before God, and God provided for them. This teaches us that when we bring our weaknesses and limitations to God, He accepts our offerings and uses them for His great purposes.

The Mother Church today presents before us St. John Mary Vianney, a humble priest who was considered by the world as foolish, useless, and insignificant, whom God used as a powerful weapon for transforming the evil hearts of millions through the sacrament of Reconciliation. St. Vianney offered all that he had to God completely, just like the little boy did to feed the multitude. God multiplied the spiritual strength in him and through him gathered to Himself many who strayed.

Now it is our time to offer to the Lord all that we have with true love, humility, and simplicity. Our God can convert the insignificant into significant, unworthy into worthy, and minimum into maximum.

Today’s readings teach us three important lessons:

1. Our small offerings can lead to great miracles in God’s hands.
2. Offering ourselves to God with humility and generosity makes us worthy for His work.
3. God can transform our weaknesses into His strength.

Let us pray that, like St. John Mary Vianney, we may offer all that we have to God wholeheartedly and remain open to His miracles. Amen.
