ख्रिस्त में प्रिय भाइयो और बहनो,

अक्सर हम जिन लोगों को निकटता से जानते हैं, उनके प्रति पूर्वाग्रह बना लेते हैं। जब हम किसी को करीब से जानते हैं, तो हम जल्दी ही निष्कर्ष पर पहुँच जाते हैं, जो कभी-कभी उनके विकास और पहचान को नुकसान पहुँचा सकता है। जब हमारे मन में किसी के प्रति पूर्वाग्रह होता है, तो हम उनकी क्षमताओं और योग्यताओं पर विश्वास नहीं कर पाते। प्रभु येसु ने भी अपने नगर में इसी अनुभव का सामना किया। उनके अपने लोग पहले तो उनकी शिक्षा से चकित थे, लेकिन वे उनकी दिव्य सत्ता को स्वीकार नहीं कर सके, क्योंकि वे उन्हें बचपन से जानते थे। प्रभु येसु के प्रति उनके पूर्वाग्रह ने उन्हें उनके अधिकार पर प्रश्न उठाने के लिए प्रेरित किया और वे उनके किसी भी चमत्कारी उपचार का अनुभव नहीं कर सके।

कई बार हम भी प्रभु के प्रति इसी प्रकार प्रतिक्रिया देते हैं। हमारे मन में उनके बारे में जो थोड़ी-बहुत जानकारी होती है, उसी के आधार पर हम अपने निष्कर्ष बना लेते हैं और उनके अद्भुत कार्यों का अनुभव करने में असफल हो जाते हैं। इस तेज़ी से बढ़ती दुनिया में हमारी व्यस्तताओं के कारण हम प्रभु को हल्के में लेते हैं और उनकी आवाज़ को अनसुना कर देते हैं। लेकिन प्रभु सदैव हमारे साथ होते हैं, हमें सही मार्ग दिखाने के लिए, हमारे गिरने पर हमें उठाने के लिए और हमारी शारीरिक तथा आध्यात्मिक बीमारियों को चंगा करने के लिए।

पहले पाठ में, हम देखते हैं कि मूसा ने ईश्वर के निर्देशों के अनुसार पवित्र पर्वों और उत्सवों की स्थापना की। ईश्वर की उपस्थिति मण्डप में बादल और अग्नि के रूप में प्रकट हुई, जो हमें यह सिखाती है कि जब हम ईश्वर की इच्छा का पालन करते हैं, तो उनकी उपस्थिति हमारे जीवन में चमत्कार लाती है।

संत अल्फोंस लिगोरी, जिनका आज हम स्मरणोत्सव मना रहे हैं, एक ऐसे संत थे जिन्होंने अपने जीवन को प्रभु की सेवा और नैतिकता की शिक्षा के लिए समर्पित किया। उनकी शिक्षाएँ हमें प्रभु के प्रति खुले हृदय और विश्वास के साथ जीने की प्रेरणा देती हैं।

आज के पाठ हमें तीन महत्वपूर्ण शिक्षाएँ देते हैं:

1. पूर्वाग्रह हमें प्रभु के कार्यों को देखने और अनुभव करने से रोक सकते हैं।
2. प्रभु की उपस्थिति और आवाज़ को सुनने के लिए हमें अपने हृदय को खोलना चाहिए।
3. ईश्वर की इच्छा का पालन करने से हमारे जीवन में चमत्कार और आशीषें आती हैं।

आइए, हम प्रभु से प्रार्थना करें कि वे हमें संत अल्फोंस लिगोरी के समान खुले हृदय और विश्वास के साथ जीने की कृपा दें, ताकि हम उनके चमत्कारों का अनुभव कर सकें। आमेन।

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus,

Very often our familiarity with people makes us prejudiced about them. When we know someone closely, we easily jump to conclusions, which sometimes may destroy their growth and identity. When we are prejudiced about somebody, we cannot believe their abilities and capacities. A similar experience Jesus faced when he went to his own hometown. His own people were at first astonished at his teaching, but they just could not believe his divine authority because Jesus was very familiar to them since his childhood. The prejudices they had in their mind about Jesus made them question his authority and prevented them from experiencing any miraculous healings by him.

Many times, we also respond to the Lord in the same way. With the little knowledge we have about him in our mind, we fail to experience his wondrous doings in our lives. At times, with our busyness in this fast-growing world, we take him for granted and fail to listen to his voice. The Lord is always at our side to show us the way we should walk, to pick us up from the place where we fall, and to heal us of our physical illness and our spiritual blindness.

In the first reading, we see that Moses followed God’s instructions in establishing the sacred feasts and festivals. God’s presence was manifested in the tabernacle as a cloud and fire, teaching us that when we obey God’s will, His presence brings wonders into our lives.

St. Alphonsus Liguori, whom we commemorate today, dedicated his life to serving God and teaching moral theology. His teachings inspire us to live with an open heart and faith in God’s presence.

Today’s readings teach us three important lessons:

1. Prejudices can prevent us from seeing and experiencing God’s works.
2. We must open our hearts to hear God’s voice and presence.
3. Obeying God’s will brings miracles and blessings into our lives.

Let us pray that, like St. Alphonsus Liguori, we may live with an open heart and faith, allowing God to work wonders in our lives. Amen.
