“महादूतों के संरक्षण में”
दानियेल 7:9-10, 13-14 यूहन्ना 1:47-51
आज माता कलीसिया तीन महादूतों—संत मिखाएल, संत गेब्रियल और संत राफाएल—का पर्व मनाती है। ये तीनों महादूत परमेश्वर के सिंहासन के समक्ष उपस्थित रहते हैं और मुक्ति-इतिहास में उनकी विशेष भूमिका रही है।
संत मिखाएल का अर्थ है, “ईश्वर के समान कौन है?” पवित्र धर्मग्रंथ उन्हें परमेश्वर की प्रजा के रक्षक के रूप में प्रस्तुत करता है। उन्होंने शैतान और उसकी शक्तियों पर विजय प्राप्त करने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई और वे विश्वासियों की रक्षा करने वाले महादूत हैं।
संत राफाएल का अर्थ है, “ईश्वर चंगाई देता है।” वे यात्रियों, युवाओं और रोगियों के संरक्षक माने जाते हैं। तोबित के ग्रंथ में हम पढ़ते हैं कि उन्होंने तोबियाह की यात्रा में उसका मार्गदर्शन किया, तोबित को अंधेपन से चंगा कराया तथा तोबियाह और सारा के विवाह में सहायता की।
संत गेब्रियल का अर्थ है, “ईश्वर की शक्ति।” वे शुभ समाचार के दूत हैं। दानियेल को दर्शन का अर्थ समझाने वाले भी वही थे। नए विधान में उन्होंने जकरियाह को योहन बपतिस्ता के जन्म का संदेश दिया और धन्य कुँवारी मरियम को प्रभु यीशु के अवतार का शुभ संदेश सुनाया।
आज माता कलीसिया हमें भी इन महादूतों के गुणों को अपने जीवन में अपनाने का निमंत्रण देती है। आइए, हम संत मिखाएल की तरह निर्बलों की रक्षा करें, संत राफाएल की तरह बीमारों और दुःखी लोगों को चंगाई और सांत्वना दें, तथा संत गेब्रियल की तरह निराश लोगों तक आशा और सुसमाचार का संदेश पहुँचाएँ।
“Under the Protection of the Archangels”
Daniel 7:9-10, 13-14 John 1:47-51
Today the Mother Church celebrates the Feast of the three Archangels: Saint Michael, Saint Gabriel, and Saint Raphael. These heavenly messengers stand before the throne of God and have played unique roles in God's plan of salvation.
Saint Michael, whose name means "Who is like God?", is the protector of God's people. Sacred Scripture presents him as the defender against Satan and the leader of the heavenly hosts who safeguard God's faithful.
Saint Raphael, meaning "God heals," is the patron of travellers, young people, and the sick. In the Book of Tobit, he accompanies Tobias on his journey, restores Tobit's sight, and guides Tobias to his marriage with Sarah.
Saint Gabriel, whose name means "Power of God," is the messenger of God's saving plan. He explained Daniel's vision, announced the birth of John the Baptist to Zechariah, and brought to the Blessed Virgin Mary the joyful message that she would become the Mother of Jesus Christ.
Today's feast invites us to imitate the virtues of these holy Archangels. Like Saint Michael, let us protect the weak. Like Saint Raphael, let us bring healing and comfort to those who suffer. Like Saint Gabriel, let us become bearers of hope and proclaim God's Good News to a world in need.
