“महानता और विश्वासयोग्यता”
अय्यूब 1:6-22 लूका 9:46-50
आज के पहले पाठ में हम अय्यूब के जीवन की पीड़ा, कठिनाइयों और परीक्षाओं को देखते हैं। अय्यूब एक धर्मी, सत्यनिष्ठ और परमेश्वर का भय मानने वाला व्यक्ति था। उसके दस पुत्र, तीन पुत्रियाँ और अपार धन-संपत्ति थी। यह सब उसकी धर्मपरायणता का प्रतिफल था। किन्तु शैतान ने उसकी निष्ठा पर प्रश्न उठाया और परमेश्वर ने उसकी परीक्षा लेने की अनुमति दी।
अय्यूब ने अपनी सारी संपत्ति, अपने बच्चों और अपने सुखी परिवार की खुशियों को खो दिया, फिर भी उसने परमेश्वर पर अपना विश्वास नहीं छोड़ा। उसने कहा, “यहोवा ने दिया, यहोवा ने ले लिया; यहोवा के नाम की स्तुति हो।” इस प्रकार वह अपनी परीक्षा में विश्वासयोग्य सिद्ध हुआ।
सुसमाचार में हम दो घटनाएँ देखते हैं। पहली, प्रेरितों के बीच यह विवाद हुआ कि उनमें सबसे बड़ा कौन है। दूसरी, यूहन्ना ने यीशु से कहा कि एक व्यक्ति को उनके नाम से दुष्टात्माएँ निकालने से रोका जाए। परन्तु यीशु ने उत्तर दिया, “उसे मत रोको, क्योंकि जो तुम्हारे विरुद्ध नहीं है, वह तुम्हारे पक्ष में है।”
हमारे जीवन में भी कई बार ऐसा होता है कि हम नहीं चाहते कि कोई दूसरा वह कार्य करे जो हमें सौंपा गया है। आज का वचन हमें सच्ची महानता, विनम्रता और विश्वासयोग्यता का पाठ सिखाता है। आइए, हम अय्यूब की तरह हर परिस्थिति में परमेश्वर पर विश्वास रखें और दूसरों के कार्यों में ईर्ष्या करने के बजाय परमेश्वर की महिमा को प्राथमिकता दें।
“Greatness and Faithfulness”
Job 1:6-22 Luke 9:46-50
In today's first reading, we witness the pain, trials, and suffering of Job. He was a righteous and upright man who feared God. He had ten children and great wealth, all of which reflected God's blessings upon his faithful life. Yet Satan challenged Job's faithfulness, and God permitted him to be tested.
Job lost all his possessions, the joy of his family, and all his children. Even in such overwhelming sorrow, he remained faithful to God and declared, "The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord." Job's unwavering faith enabled him to pass the test.
In the Gospel, we encounter two incidents. First, the Apostles argue among themselves about who is the greatest. Second, John asks Jesus to stop a man from casting out demons in Jesus' name because he was not one of their group. Jesus replies, "Do not stop him, for whoever is not against you is for you."
The same attitude often appears in our own lives. We sometimes become possessive and do not want others to carry out the work entrusted to us. Today's readings invite us to remain faithful like Job and to practice true humility by rejoicing whenever God's work is accomplished, no matter through whom He chooses to act.
