“सिमेयोन की भविष्यवाणी: प्रभु के साथ उठने का आह्वान”
जब हम लूकस 2:33–35 में सिमेयोन के वचनों पर मनन करते हैं, तो हमें याद दिलाया जाता है कि येसु बहुतों के पतन और उत्थान के लिए नियुक्त किए गए हैं। वे कोने का पत्थर हैं — जो विश्वासियों के लिए आधार है — और साथ ही वह पत्थर भी हैं, जिस पर कई ठोकर खाते हैं। फिर भी, वे ही उद्धारकर्ता, मसीहा और मुक्तिदाता हैं।
सिमेयोन की यह भविष्यवाणी येसु के मिशन की दोहरी प्रकृति को प्रकट करती है — कुछ लोग उन्हें अस्वीकार करेंगे और गिरेंगे, जबकि अन्य उन्हें ग्रहण करेंगे और अनन्त जीवन के लिए उठेंगे।
धन्य कुँवारी मरियम, येसु की माता, से यह कहा गया था कि एक तलवार उनके प्राण को भेदेगी। यह उस गहरे दुःख की ओर संकेत था, जिसे वे अपने पुत्र को क्रूस पर मरते हुए देखकर सहेंगी। यह भविष्यवाणी हमें स्मरण कराती है कि येसु का अनुसरण करने के लिए बलिदान, साहस और दृढ़ विश्वास आवश्यक हैं।
विश्वासियों के रूप में, हमें भी येसु के विषय में निर्णय लेना है — क्या हम उन पर ठोकर खाएँगे या उनके साथ उठेंगे? क्या हम उन्हें अस्वीकार करेंगे या अपने प्रभु और उद्धारकर्ता के रूप में स्वीकार करेंगे? सिमेयोन के शब्द हमें अपने हृदय की जाँच करने और विश्वास, भरोसे तथा आज्ञाकारिता के साथ येसु को उत्तर देने के लिए आमंत्रित करते हैं।
आइए, हम अपने प्रभु के साथ संबंध पर मनन करें और अपने आप से पूछें: क्या हम अपना क्रूस उठाकर उनके पीछे चलने को तैयार हैं? क्या हम प्रभु के शिष्य होने से आने वाली चुनौतियों और विरोध का सामना करने के लिए तैयार हैं?
आइए हम मरियम की तरह साहस के साथ येसु के साथ खड़े हों और उनके शब्दों को दोहराएँ — “देखो, मैं प्रभु की दासी हूँ; जैसा तूने कहा है, वैसा ही मुझ में हो” (लूकस 1:38)।
“Simeon’s Prophecy: The Call to Rise with Christ”
As we reflect on Simeon’s words in Luke 2:33–35, we are reminded that Jesus is destined for the fall and rise of many. He is the cornerstone—the firm foundation for those who believe—and yet the rock over which many stumble. He is both a sign of contradiction and the Savior of the world, the long-awaited Messiah and Redeemer.
Simeon’s prophecy reveals that Jesus’ mission has two responses: some will reject Him and fall, while others will receive Him and rise to eternal life.
Mary, the Blessed Mother of Jesus, also heard a prophecy—that a sword would pierce her soul. This foretold the deep suffering she would endure as she watched her Son die upon the Cross. Through her, we see that following Jesus often involves sacrifice, courage, and unwavering faith.
As believers, we too must make a choice about Jesus. Will we stumble over Him, or will we rise with Him? Will we turn away, or will we welcome Him as our Lord and Savior? Simeon’s words invite us to examine our hearts and respond with faith, trust, and obedience.
Let us reflect on our relationship with Christ: Are we ready to take up our cross and follow Him? Are we willing to face the challenges that come with being His disciple?
May we, like Mary, stand faithfully with Jesus—even at the foot of the Cross—and say with all our hearts, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be done to me according to your word” (Luke 1:38).
