“नम्र सेवा, आत्मसंयम और सच्चे आध्यात्मिक नेतृत्व का मार्ग”
संत पौलुस प्रथम कुरिन्थियों के इस पाठ में अपने प्रेरितिक जीवन की गहन प्रेरणा प्रकट करते हैं। वे कहते हैं, "यदि मैं सुसमाचार का प्रचार न करूँ, तो मुझ पर धिक्कार है।" उनके लिए सुसमाचार का प्रचार कोई व्यक्तिगत उपलब्धि या सम्मान प्राप्त करने का साधन नहीं, बल्कि ईश्वर द्वारा सौंपा गया पवित्र दायित्व है। इसी कारण वे प्रत्येक व्यक्ति तक मसीह का संदेश पहुँचाने के लिए स्वयं को सबके अनुरूप बना लेते हैं, ताकि अधिक से अधिक लोगों को मसीह तक ला सकें। एक धावक जिस प्रकार पुरस्कार प्राप्त करने के लिए कठोर आत्मसंयम और अनुशासन का पालन करता है, उसी प्रकार मसीह के शिष्य को भी अपने जीवन में संयम, त्याग और दृढ़ता का अभ्यास करना चाहिए। हमारा लक्ष्य नश्वर विजय-मुकुट नहीं, बल्कि वह अविनाशी मुकुट है जो ईश्वर अपने विश्वासयोग्य सेवकों के लिए सुरक्षित रखते हैं।
लूकस के सुसमाचार में प्रभु येसु सच्चे आध्यात्मिक नेतृत्व की आधारशिला प्रस्तुत करते हैं। वे हमें सावधान करते हैं कि दूसरे के दोषों की ओर संकेत करने से पहले हमें अपने जीवन का ईमानदारी से परीक्षण करना चाहिए। "तू अपने भाई की आँख का तिनका तो देखता है, पर अपनी आँख का शहतीर नहीं देखता।" प्रभु यह स्पष्ट करते हैं कि जो स्वयं ईश्वर के वचन से रूपान्तरित नहीं हुआ है, वह दूसरों का मार्गदर्शन नहीं कर सकता। आत्म-परीक्षण, नम्रता और पश्चात्ताप के बिना कोई भी आध्यात्मिक सेवा फलदायी नहीं हो सकती।
ये दोनों पाठ हमें स्मरण दिलाते हैं कि मसीही नेतृत्व अधिकार या प्रतिष्ठा का नहीं, बल्कि सेवा और आत्मसमर्पण का आह्वान है। जो व्यक्ति पहले स्वयं को ईश्वर की इच्छा के अनुसार ढालता है, वही दूसरों को सत्य के मार्ग पर ले चल सकता है। संसार नेतृत्व को शक्ति और प्रभुत्व से मापता है, किन्तु प्रभु येसु नेतृत्व की पहचान नम्रता, पवित्रता और सेवाभाव में देखते हैं।
आइए, हम संत पौलुस की मिशनरी तत्परता और प्रभु येसु की नम्रता को अपने जीवन का आदर्श बनाएँ। हम प्रतिदिन आत्म-परीक्षण करें, अपने दोषों को दूर करने का प्रयास करें और ईश्वर के अनुग्रह से अपने जीवन को अनुशासित बनाएँ। तब हमारा जीवन केवल शब्दों से नहीं, बल्कि आचरण से भी सुसमाचार का प्रभावशाली साक्ष्य बनेगा और हम ऐसे सेवक सिद्ध होंगे जो अपने जीवन द्वारा अनेक लोगों को मसीह के निकट ले आते हैं।
“Humble Service, Self-Discipline and the Path of True Spiritual Leadership”
In this passage from First Corinthians, St. Paul reveals the deep motivation of his apostolic life. He says, “Woe to me if I do not proclaim the Gospel!” For him, preaching the Gospel was not a means to personal achievement or honor, but a sacred duty entrusted by God. That is why he makes himself all things to all people so that he might save as many as possible. Just as an athlete practices strict self-discipline and discipline to win a prize, so too must a disciple of Christ practice self-control, sacrifice, and perseverance in his life. Our goal is not a perishable crown, but the imperishable crown that God has reserved for His faithful servants.
In Luke’s Gospel, the Lord Jesus lays the foundation of true spiritual leadership. He warns us that before pointing out the faults of others, we must honestly examine our own lives. “You see the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log in your own eye.” The Lord makes it clear that one who has not been transformed by God’s word cannot guide others. Without self-examination, humility, and repentance, no spiritual service can be fruitful.
Both readings remind us that Christian leadership is not about power or prestige, but a call to service and self-surrender. Only the one who first shapes himself according to God’s will can lead others on the path of truth. The world measures leadership by strength and dominance, but the Lord Jesus sees the true mark of leadership in humility, holiness, and service.
Let us make the missionary zeal of St. Paul and the humility of the Lord Jesus the ideal of our lives. Let us examine ourselves daily, strive to remove our faults, and discipline our lives by God’s grace. Then our life will become a powerful witness to the Gospel not only in words but also in deeds, and we will prove to be servants who bring many people closer to Christ through their lives.
