“ईश्वर के रहस्यों के विश्वसनीय भण्डारी”
संत पौलुस प्रथम कुरिन्थियों के इस पाठ में हमें स्मरण दिलाते हैं कि हम ईश्वर के रहस्यों के भण्डारी हैं। भण्डारी का सबसे बड़ा गुण उसकी योग्यता नहीं, बल्कि उसकी विश्वसनीयता है। इसलिए हमारा उद्देश्य मनुष्यों की प्रशंसा प्राप्त करना नहीं, बल्कि ईश्वर के प्रति निष्ठावान बने रहना है। संसार हमारे विषय में जो चाहे निर्णय दे, उसका अन्तिम मूल्यांकन प्रभु ही करेंगे, क्योंकि वही हृदय की गुप्त भावनाओं और प्रत्येक व्यक्ति के वास्तविक उद्देश्य को जानते हैं। अतः विश्वासी का जीवन बाहरी प्रशंसा का नहीं, बल्कि ईश्वर के प्रति निष्ठा का जीवन होना चाहिए।
लूकस के सुसमाचार में प्रभु येसु नए दाखरस और नई मशकों का दृष्टान्त प्रस्तुत करते हैं। वे स्पष्ट करते हैं कि ईश्वर के राज्य का नया जीवन पुराने विचारों, संकीर्ण मानसिकता और केवल बाहरी धार्मिक रीति-रिवाजों में सीमित नहीं किया जा सकता। जैसे नया दाखरस नई मशकों की अपेक्षा करता है, वैसे ही सुसमाचार का जीवन एक नए हृदय, नई सोच और निरन्तर आध्यात्मिक नवीनीकरण की माँग करता है। जो व्यक्ति अपने मन और हृदय को ईश्वर के लिए नया बनने देता है, वही उनके अनुग्रह को पूर्ण रूप से ग्रहण कर सकता है।
ये दोनों पाठ हमें आत्म-परीक्षण के लिए आमन्त्रित करते हैं। क्या हम केवल परम्पराओं का पालन कर रहे हैं, अथवा अपने हृदय को भी ईश्वर के वचन से रूपान्तरित होने दे रहे हैं? प्रभु हमसे केवल बाहरी धार्मिकता नहीं, बल्कि भीतर से परिवर्तित जीवन की अपेक्षा रखते हैं। इसलिए हमें विश्वासयोग्य भण्डारी बनकर उनके अनुग्रह को ग्रहण करना है और अपने जीवन को प्रतिदिन उनके वचन के अनुसार नया बनाते रहना है।
ईश्वर उसी सेवक को प्रतिफल देते हैं जो अन्त तक निष्ठापूर्वक उनकी सेवा करता है। अतः आइए, हम अपने हृदय को सुसमाचार के "नए दाखरस" के योग्य बनाएँ, ताकि हमारा सम्पूर्ण जीवन ईश्वर की महिमा का साधन बन सके।
“Faithful Stewards of God’s Mysteries”
In this passage from First Corinthians, St. Paul reminds us that we are stewards of God’s mysteries. The greatest quality of a steward is not competence, but faithfulness. Therefore, our goal is not to gain human praise, but to remain faithful to God. The world may judge us as it wishes, but the final evaluation belongs to the Lord, who alone knows the secrets of the heart and the true intentions of every person. Hence, the life of a believer should not be driven by external approval, but by faithfulness to God.
In Luke’s Gospel, the Lord Jesus presents the parable of new wine and new wineskins. He makes it clear that the new life of God’s Kingdom cannot be confined to old ideas, narrow mindsets, or merely external religious practices. Just as new wine requires new wineskins, the life of the Gospel demands a new heart, new thinking, and continuous spiritual renewal. Only the person who allows their mind and heart to be renewed for God can fully receive His grace.
Both readings invite us to self-examination. Are we merely following traditions, or are we also allowing our hearts to be transformed by God’s word? The Lord does not expect only external religiosity from us, but a life changed from within. Therefore, we must become faithful stewards, receive His grace, and daily renew our lives according to His word.
God rewards the servant who serves Him faithfully to the end. Let us, therefore, make our hearts worthy of the “new wine” of the Gospel, so that our entire life may become an instrument of God’s glory.
