“नम्रता का मार्ग”
लूका 14:1, 7-11
आज के सुसमाचार में प्रभु हमें नम्रता और आत्म-विनम्रता का जीवन जीने के लिए प्रेरित करते हैं। जब प्रभु भोज में देखते हैं कि लोग उच्च स्थान पाने की होड़ में लगे हुए हैं, तब उन्होंने एक दृष्टांत के माध्यम से समझाते हैं कि सच्चा सम्मान और महानता हमारी नम्रता और विनम्रता से प्राप्त होती है।
आज के सुसमाचार के अंतिम वाक्य में प्रभु कहते हैं, “जो अपने को बड़ा मानता है, वह छोटा बनाया जाएगा, और जो अपने को छोटा मानता है, वह बड़ा बनाया जाएगा”।
प्रभु अपने जीवन के माध्यम से हमें सिखाते हैं कि वह स्वयं हमारे लिए एक उदाहरण हैं। उन्होंने ईश्वर होते हुए भी सेवक का रूप धारण किया। लेकिन हम मनुष्य कमजोर और लाचार हैं, और जब इस दुनिया में जीते हैं, तो कई बार ऐसी स्थिति आती है कि हम मान-सम्मान और उच्च स्थान पाने के लिए दिखावे का जीवन जीते हैं, और अपने स्वार्थ, घमंड, लालच और अहंकार के कारण हम दूसरों को मान-सम्मान और अपने जीवन में प्राथमिकता नहीं दे पाते हैं।
आज प्रभु हमें सिखाते हैं कि जो अपने आप को छोटा मानता है, यानी नम्र और विनीत बनता है, वह ईश्वर की दृष्टि में सर्वश्रेष्ठ है, और ईश्वर उन्हें महान बनाता है। प्यारे भाइयों और बहनों, प्रभु हमें अपनी बोली और वचन से नम्र और विनीत बनने के लिए नहीं, बल्कि हमारे जीवन-शैली, रोज़ दिन की दिनचर्या और क्रियाकलापों में नम्र और विनीत बनने के लिए सिखाते हैं।
“The Way of Humility”
Luke 14:1, 7-11
In today’s Gospel, Lord Jesus inspires us to live a life of humility and self-humility. When Lord Jesus sees at the feast that people are competing to gain higher positions, He explains through a parable that true honour and greatness come from our humility and meekness.
In the final verse of today’s Gospel, Lord Jesus says, “Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.”
Through His own life, Lord Jesus teaches us that He Himself is an example for us. Though He was God, He took the form of a servant. But we human beings are weak and helpless, and while living in this world, we often find ourselves in situations where we live a life of show and pride to gain honour and high positions. Because of our selfishness, arrogance, greed, and pride, we fail to give respect and priority to others in our lives.
Today, the Lord teaches us that whoever humbles himself, that is, becomes gentle and meek, is considered the greatest in the eyes of God, and God Himself exalts such a person. Dear brothers and sisters, the Lord teaches us not only to be humble and meek in our words and speech, but also to live humility and gentleness in our daily lifestyle, routines, and actions.
