“ईश्वर का प्रेम और जागरूक सेवक का कर्तव्य”
एफेसियों 3:2-12 | लूका 12:39-48
ईश्वर का प्रेम और उसका उद्धार सबके लिए है। ईश्वर सभी का है, और पूरी मानव जाति के उद्धार के लिए उसने अपने पुत्र प्रभु येसु को संसार में भेजा। संत पौलुस हमें स्मरण कराते हैं कि ईश्वर का प्रेम किसी एक समुदाय या धर्म तक सीमित नहीं है, बल्कि सभी लोगों के लिए खुला है। प्रभु येसु में हम सब एक हैं। ईश्वर ने अपने पुत्र के द्वारा हमें अपनी उस कृपा का सहभागी बनाया है, जो पहले एक रहस्य थी, पर अब सबके सामने प्रकट हो चुकी है। अब सभी लोग एक ही सुसमाचार के सहभागी हैं। ईश्वर का कार्य सभी सीमाओं से परे है। वह प्रत्येक व्यक्ति से प्रेम करता है और चाहता है कि हम भी एक-दूसरे से प्रेम करें।
दूसरी ओर, प्रभु येसु हमें सतर्क रहने का संदेश देते हैं। वे कहते हैं कि यदि कोई जानता हो कि चोर कब आएगा, तो वह अपने घर की रक्षा करेगा। उसी प्रकार हमें भी अपने आत्मिक जीवन में जागरूक रहना चाहिए, क्योंकि हमें नहीं पता कि प्रभु कब आएंगे। इसलिए हमें अपने कर्तव्यों और जिम्मेदारियों को गंभीरता से निभाना चाहिए।
आगे प्रभु येसु कहते हैं, “जिसे अधिक दिया गया है, उससे अधिक माँगा जाएगा।” अर्थात जिसने ईश्वर की इच्छा को जाना है, उसे उसी के अनुसार जीवन भी जीना चाहिए। चाहे परिवार हो, समुदाय हो या कलीसिया की सेवा—हर स्थान पर हमें विश्वासयोग्य और ईमानदार सेवक बनना है।
हम सब ईश्वर के घर के सेवक हैं। एक दिन प्रभु हमसे पूछेंगे कि क्या हमने उनके दिए हुए कार्य को निष्ठा के साथ पूरा किया? क्या हमने दूसरों के साथ प्रेम, दया और करुणा का व्यवहार किया? इसलिए आज के पाठ हमें दो महत्वपूर्ण बातें सिखाते हैं—पहली, ईश्वर की कृपा सबके लिए है; और दूसरी, हमें उस कृपा के प्रति विश्वासयोग्य, जागरूक और उत्तरदायी बने रहना है। यदि हम प्रेम और सेवा में बने रहेंगे, तो प्रभु हमें भी धन्य कहेंगे—“धन्य है वह सेवक, जिसे उसका स्वामी जागते हुए पाए।”
“God's Love and the Duty of a Vigilant Servant”
God's love and salvation are meant for everyone. He is the God of all people, and He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to save the whole human race. Saint Paul reminds us that God's love is not limited to one nation or community but is offered to all. In Christ, we are united as one family. Through Jesus, God has revealed the mystery of His grace, which was once hidden but is now made known to all. Every believer now shares in the same Gospel and the same promise of salvation. God's work reaches beyond every boundary, and He calls us to share His love with everyone.
In the Gospel, Jesus calls us to remain watchful and vigilant. He says that if the owner of a house knew when a thief would come, he would stay awake and protect his house. In the same way, we must remain spiritually alert because we do not know when the Lord will return. Therefore, we should carry out our duties and responsibilities with faithfulness and dedication.
Jesus further teaches, “To whom much is given, much will be required.” Those who have received the knowledge of God's will must live according to it. Whether in our families, our communities, or in the service of the Church, we are called to be faithful and trustworthy servants.
We all serve in God's household. One day the Lord will ask whether we carried out the responsibilities He entrusted to us with honesty and love. Did we show compassion and kindness to others? Today's readings teach us two important lessons: first, God's grace is offered to everyone; second, we must respond to that grace with faithfulness, vigilance, and responsible service. If we remain faithful in love and service, the Lord will one day say to us, “Blessed is the servant whom the master finds watching.”
