“ईश्वर की कृपा और वास्तविक जीवन का धन”
इफिसियों 2:1-10 लूका 12:14-21
मनुष्य अपने कर्मों या अपनी संपत्ति से नहीं, बल्कि ईश्वर की कृपा और दया से जीवन प्राप्त करता है। कौन नहीं चाहता कि उसका जीवन सुरक्षित रहे? वास्तव में जीवन की रक्षा केवल शरीर की नहीं, बल्कि मन, आत्मा और विश्वास की भी रक्षा है। इफिसियों के नाम अपने पत्र में संत पौलुस हमें याद दिलाते हैं कि पाप के कारण हम आत्मिक रूप से मृत थे। स्वार्थ, घमंड और सांसारिक इच्छाएँ हमें ईश्वर से दूर ले जाती हैं। परन्तु ईश्वर, जो दया का धनी है, उसने अपने पुत्र प्रभु यीशु मसीह के द्वारा हमें नया जीवन प्रदान किया।
संत पौलुस कहते हैं, “तुम्हें कृपा के द्वारा विश्वास के माध्यम से मुक्ति मिली है। यह तुम्हारी ओर से नहीं, बल्कि ईश्वर का वरदान है।” यह वचन हमें विनम्र बनाता है और सिखाता है कि हमारा उद्धार हमारे अच्छे कार्यों का परिणाम नहीं, बल्कि ईश्वर की असीम कृपा का फल है।
लूका के सुसमाचार में प्रभु यीशु धनी मूर्ख के दृष्टांत द्वारा हमें बताते हैं कि जीवन की सुरक्षा संपत्ति में नहीं है। उस व्यक्ति ने सोचा कि उसके पास बहुत धन है, इसलिए वह निश्चिंत होकर जीवन बिताएगा। परन्तु उसी रात ईश्वर ने उससे कहा, “मूर्ख! आज ही तेरे प्राण ले लिए जाएँगे, तब जो कुछ तूने इकट्ठा किया है, वह किसका होगा?” यह दृष्टांत हमें याद दिलाता है कि सांसारिक धन अस्थायी है और वह हमें अनन्त जीवन नहीं दे सकता। सच्चा धन वह है जो हम ईश्वर में और दूसरों के प्रति प्रेम में संचित करते हैं।
आज के दोनों पाठ एक ही संदेश देते हैं कि हमारा जीवन ईश्वर की कृपा पर आधारित है, न कि हमारी उपलब्धियों या संपत्ति पर। यदि हम केवल सांसारिक सुखों के पीछे भागेंगे तो आत्मिक रूप से निर्धन हो जाएँगे, परन्तु यदि हम ईश्वर के प्रेम में बने रहेंगे तो वास्तव में धनी होंगे। इसलिए आज हम ईश्वर की कृपा को पहचानें, विनम्र बने रहें, और अपने समय, प्रतिभा तथा धन का उपयोग दूसरों की सेवा में करें। तभी हमारा जीवन ईश्वर के राज्य के लिए फलदायी और पूर्ण बनेगा।
“God's Grace and the True Wealth of Life”
Ephesians 2:1-10 Luke 12:14-21
A person receives life not through good deeds or material possessions, but through the mercy and grace of God. Everyone desires security in life, yet true security is found not only in protecting the body, but also in safeguarding the soul through faith. In his Letter to the Ephesians, Saint Paul reminds us that because of sin we were spiritually dead. Pride, selfishness, and worldly desires separate us from God. Yet God, who is rich in mercy, has given us new life through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Saint Paul declares, "By grace you have been saved through faith. This is not your own doing; it is the gift of God." These words teach us humility. Our salvation is not earned by our achievements, but is a gift flowing from God's infinite love and mercy.
In the Gospel, Jesus tells the parable of the rich fool to remind us that life cannot be secured by wealth. The rich man believed that his abundant possessions guaranteed a peaceful future. But God said to him, "You fool! This very night your life will be demanded of you." Earthly riches are temporary and cannot give eternal life. True wealth is found in our relationship with God and in our love and generosity toward others.
Together, today's readings proclaim that our lives depend on God's grace, not on our possessions or accomplishments. If we live only for worldly pleasures, we become spiritually poor. But if we remain in God's love, we become truly rich. Therefore, let us recognize God's grace in our lives, remain humble, and use our time, talents, and resources in the service of others. In doing so, our lives will become fruitful and pleasing in the sight of God.
