“ईश्वर के चुने हुए बनकर विश्वास में जीना”
इफिसियों 1:11-14 लूका 12:1-7
आज के दोनों पाठ हमें यह स्मरण दिलाते हैं कि हम ईश्वर के चुने हुए हैं और हमें भय में नहीं, बल्कि विश्वास और भरोसे में जीवन जीना चाहिए। हमारे जीवन में सुख हो या दुःख, हर परिस्थिति में ईश्वर की योजना कार्य करती रहती है। संत पौलुस इफिसियों के नाम अपने पत्र में बताते हैं कि हम प्रभु यीशु मसीह में एक होने के लिए बुलाए गए हैं।
संत पौलुस कहते हैं कि हमें मसीह में पहले से ही चुन लिया गया है। अर्थात् परमेश्वर ने अपनी योजना के अनुसार हमें अपनी संतान बनने के लिए बुलाया है। हमारे जीवन में कुछ भी केवल संयोग से नहीं होता। उसने हमें पवित्र आत्मा की मुहर प्रदान की है, जो इस बात का चिन्ह है कि हम उसके अपने हैं। इसलिए हम कभी अकेले नहीं हैं। परमेश्वर हमारे भीतर निवास करता है और हमें अनन्त जीवन की ओर ले चलता है।
सुसमाचार में प्रभु यीशु अपने शिष्यों को फरीसियों के खमीर से सावधान रहने की शिक्षा देते हैं। वे बाहर से धार्मिक दिखाई देते थे, परन्तु भीतर से कपट और छल से भरे थे। प्रभु कहते हैं कि जो कुछ अंधकार में कहा गया है, वह प्रकाश में प्रकट होगा। वे हमें यह भी सिखाते हैं कि मनुष्यों से नहीं डरना चाहिए, क्योंकि वे केवल शरीर को नष्ट कर सकते हैं, आत्मा को नहीं। बल्कि हमें पाप, बुराई और शैतान से सावधान रहना चाहिए, क्योंकि वे आत्मा को परमेश्वर से दूर ले जाते हैं। परमेश्वर सब कुछ जानता है और हमारे जीवन की प्रत्येक छोटी-बड़ी बात पर उसकी दृष्टि रहती है।
जब हमें यह विश्वास हो कि हम ईश्वर के चुने हुए हैं, तब हमें जीवन की कठिनाइयों, आलोचनाओं या विरोध से भयभीत होने की आवश्यकता नहीं है। हमें दिखावे का जीवन नहीं, बल्कि सत्य और विश्वास का जीवन जीना है। यही विश्वास और सत्य हमें प्रभु की अनन्त विरासत का अधिकारी बनाते हैं।
“Living in Faith as God's Chosen”
Ephesians 1:11-14 Luke 12:1-7
Today's readings remind us that we are God's chosen people and that we are called to live not in fear, but in faith and trust. Whether our lives are filled with joy or sorrow, God's loving plan is always at work. Saint Paul reminds the Ephesians that we have been called to live in unity with Christ.
Saint Paul teaches that we have been chosen in Christ according to God's eternal purpose. Nothing in our lives happens by mere chance. God has adopted us as His children and has sealed us with the Holy Spirit, a sign that we belong to Him. Therefore, we are never alone. God dwells within us and continually leads us toward eternal life.
In the Gospel, Jesus warns His disciples to beware of the "leaven of the Pharisees," whose outward appearance of holiness concealed hearts filled with hypocrisy. He reminds them that everything hidden will one day be revealed. Jesus also teaches that we should not fear those who can harm only the body. Rather, we should guard ourselves against sin and evil, which separate the soul from God. Our heavenly Father knows every detail of our lives and lovingly watches over us.
When we truly believe that we are God's chosen children, we need not fear hardships, criticism, or opposition. We are called to live not for appearances, but in truth and faithfulness. It is this faithful life that leads us to the eternal inheritance prepared for us by the Lord.
