“हम मसीह में चुने हुए हैं”
इफिसियों 1:1-10 लूका 11:47-54
"उसने संसार की सृष्टि से पहले मसीह में हमको चुन लिया।" यह सुनने में आश्चर्यजनक लगता है कि संसार की रचना से पहले ही परमेश्वर ने हमें मसीह में चुन लिया, ताकि हम उसके सामने पवित्र और निर्दोष बनें। यह हमें एक गहरी सच्चाई का बोध कराता है कि हमारा अस्तित्व संयोग नहीं, बल्कि परमेश्वर की योजना और इच्छा का भाग है।
संत पौलुस अपने पत्र में हमें स्मरण दिलाते हैं कि हमारा जीवन केवल घटनाओं का क्रम नहीं है, बल्कि हर परिस्थिति परमेश्वर की योजना में अपना स्थान रखती है। वह हमें अपनी कृपा की समृद्धि, प्रज्ञा और बुद्धि प्रदान करता है। इससे स्पष्ट होता है कि हमारा उद्धार हमारे कर्मों का नहीं, बल्कि परमेश्वर की दया और प्रेम का फल है। उसकी इच्छा है कि हम सब मसीह में एक हों और उसके साथ जीवन व्यतीत करें।
संत लूका के सुसमाचार में प्रभु यीशु उन लोगों को चेतावनी देते हैं जो बाहर से तो धार्मिक दिखाई देते हैं, पर उनके हृदय में परमेश्वर के वचन के लिए कोई स्थान नहीं है। वे नबियों की कब्रें सजाते हैं, किन्तु उनकी शिक्षा को स्वीकार नहीं करते। शास्त्री और फरीसी विद्वान थे और लोगों की भलाई कर सकते थे, परन्तु उनका जीवन केवल दिखावे और कपट से भरा था। इसलिए प्रभु यीशु उन्हें उनके ढोंग के कारण धिक्कारते हैं।
आज हमें भी स्वयं से पूछना चाहिए— क्या हम केवल परमेश्वर का वचन सुनते हैं, या उसे अपने जीवन में उतारते भी हैं? परमेश्वर का वचन केवल सुनने के लिए नहीं, बल्कि जीने के लिए है। जब हम स्वार्थ, कटुता और दिखावे को महत्व देते हैं, तब हम भी उसी प्रकार परमेश्वर के वचन का विरोध करते हैं। आज परमेश्वर हमें स्मरण दिलाता है कि उसने हमें चुना है, अपने प्रेम से भर दिया है और अपने वचन का साक्षी बनने के लिए बुलाया है। आइए, हम उसके वचन को सुनें, स्वीकार करें और प्रतिदिन अपने जीवन में उसे जीएँ।
“Chosen in Christ to Live God's Word”
Ephesians 1:1-10 Luke 11:47-54
God chose us in Christ before the creation of the world. It may sound surprising that we were chosen even before the world began so that we might be holy and blameless in His sight. This reveals a profound truth: our existence is not an accident but part of God's loving plan and purpose.
Saint Paul reminds us that our life is not merely a series of random events. Every circumstance finds its place within God's providence. He has blessed us with the riches of His grace, wisdom, and understanding. Our salvation is not earned by our own efforts but is the gift of God's mercy and love. His desire is that all people may be united in Christ and share everlasting life with Him.
In the Gospel, Jesus warns those who appear religious outwardly but have no room for God's word in their hearts. They honour the prophets by building their tombs while rejecting their message. The scribes and Pharisees possessed knowledge and influence, yet their lives were marked by hypocrisy rather than genuine faith. Therefore, Jesus strongly rebukes them.
Today we must ask ourselves: Do we merely hear God's word, or do we allow it to shape our lives? The Word of God is meant not only to be heard but also to be lived. Whenever selfishness, bitterness, or pride rule our hearts, we resist God's word just as the scribes and Pharisees did. Today God reminds us that He has chosen us, filled us with His love, and called us to be witnesses of His Word. Let us listen to His Word, accept it with faith, and live it faithfully each day.
