“संत विलिब्रॉर्ड : मिशनरी उत्साह का उदाहरण”

ख्रीस्त में प्यारे भाइयों एवं बहनों, आज माता कलीसिया संत विलिब्रॉर्ड का पर्व मना रही है। संत विलिब्रॉर्ड (658-739) एक महान मिशनरी और नीदरलैंड के प्रेरित माने जाते हैं। उनका जन्म इंग्लैंड में हुआ था और उन्होंने आयरलैंड में मठवासी जीवन का प्रशिक्षण प्राप्त किया।
बाद में वे यूरोप में सुसमाचार प्रचार करने के लिए भेजे गए। उन्होंने फ्रीसिया में ईसाई धर्म का प्रचार किया और बहुतों को बपतिस्मा दिया। रोम जाकर उन्हें पोप से समर्थन मिला और उन्हें यूटेक्ट का प्रथम धर्माध्यक्ष नियुक्त किया गया। संत विलिब्रॉर्ड ने कई चर्चों और मठों की स्थापना की।
उनका जीवन विश्वास, साहस और मिशनरी उत्साह का प्रेरक उदाहरण है।
प्रिय भाइयों, आज के सुसमाचार के माध्यम से प्रभु हमें सिखाते हैं कि संसार की सम्पत्ति का उपयोग इस प्रकार करें कि वह हमें अनंत जीवन की ओर ले जाए। संत विलिब्रॉर्ड इस वचन के सच्चे उदाहरण हैं। उन्होंने अपने देश, आराम और सुरक्षा को छोड़कर मिशनरी जीवन चुना।
उनके पास न धन था, न शक्ति, परन्तु वे विश्वास में दृढ़ और सेवा में निष्ठावान थे। उन्होंने अपना समय, श्रम और विश्वास ईश्वर के कार्य में समर्पित कर दिया। परिणामस्वरूप अनेक लोगों ने मसीह को जाना।
क्योंकि ईश्वर कहते हैं कि हम ईश्वर और धन दोनों की सेवा नहीं कर सकते। इस बात को ध्यान में रखते हुए संत विलिब्रॉर्ड ने स्पष्ट रूप से ईश्वर को चुना। आज का सुसमाचार हमें चुनौती देता है कि हम अपनी प्राथमिकताओं को परखें और सांसारिक लाभ से ऊपर ईश्वर के राज्य को रखें।
“St. Willibrord: Example of Missionary Zeal”
Philippians 4:10-19 | Luke 16:9-15
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, Today Mother Church celebrates the feast of St. Willibrord. Saint Willibrord (658–739) is known as a great missionary and the Apostle of the Netherlands. He was born in England and received monastic training in Ireland.
Later, he was sent to preach the Gospel in Europe. He proclaimed Christianity in Frisia and baptized many people. He went to Rome, received support from the Pope, and was appointed the first Bishop of Utrecht. Saint Willibrord established many churches and monasteries.
His life is an inspiring example of faith, courage, and missionary zeal.
Dear brothers and sisters, through today’s Gospel from the Gospel of Luke, the Lord teaches us to use worldly wealth in such a way that it leads us toward eternal life. Saint Willibrord is a true example of this message.
He left his homeland, comfort, and security to choose a missionary life. He had neither wealth nor power, but he was strong in faith and faithful in service. He dedicated his time, labor, and faith to God’s work. As a result, many people came to know Christ.
The Lord teaches that we cannot serve both God and money. Keeping this truth in mind, Saint Willibrord clearly chose God. Today’s Gospel challenges us to examine our priorities and to place the Kingdom of God above worldly gain.
