“खोई हुई भेड़ और सिक्का”
किलिप्पियों 3:3-8 | लूकस 15:1-10
ख्रीस्त में प्यारे भाइयों एवं बहनों, हम सब एक पल के लिए रुककर अपने हृदय से पूछें कि क्या हम सुसमाचार केवल सुनते हैं या सचमुच जीते भी हैं? क्योंकि परमेश्वर का वचन हमें बदलने और नया मार्ग दिखाने आता है। आइए खुले मन और विश्वास भरे हृदय से वचन को सुनने की कोशिश करें, ताकि हम भी सुसमाचार प्रचारक बन सकें।
आज के पहले पाठ में संत पौलुस हमें सिखाते हैं कि सच्ची पहचान बाहरी बातों से नहीं होती, बल्कि मसीह में है। जिन बातों पर उन्हें गर्व था — वंश, धन, संसारिक चीजें — उन्हें उन्होंने प्रभु के सामने हानि समझा। संत पौलुस कहते हैं कि येसु को जानना सबसे बड़ा लाभ है।
यह वचन हमें चुनौती देता है कि हमें अपने घमंड, उपलब्धियों और स्वार्थ को छोड़कर प्रभु को प्रथम स्थान देना चाहिए। जब हम सब कुछ येसु के लिए खोने को तैयार होते हैं, तभी हमें जीवन का सच्चा अर्थ और आनंद मिलता है।
आज के सुसमाचार में हम प्रभु येसु की नम्रता, प्रेम और दयालुता को देखते हैं। खोई हुई भेड़ और खोए हुए सिक्के के दृष्टांत के द्वारा प्रभु बताते हैं कि ईश्वर की दृष्टि में प्रत्येक व्यक्ति मूल्यवान है, जिन्हें समाज तुच्छ मानता है। उनके लिए भी ईश्वर का प्रेम और दया भरा हुआ है।
जब कोई पापी मनुष्य पश्चाताप करते हुए प्रभु के पास लौटता है, तो स्वर्ग में उसके लिए महान आनंद मनाया जाता है। यह वचन हमें याद दिलाता है कि हम दूसरों के गुनाहों को न देखें, बल्कि दया, क्षमा और प्रेम को अपने जीवन में अपनाएँ, जिससे ईश्वर हमें कभी नहीं त्यागेंगे बल्कि सत्य के मार्ग पर चलने में सहायता करेंगे।
“The Lost Sheep and the Lost Coin”
Philippians 3:3-8 | Luke 15:1-10
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, Let us pause for a moment and ask ourselves from our hearts: Do we only listen to the Gospel, or do we truly live it? The Word of God comes to transform us and to show us a new path. Let us try to listen to the Word with open minds and faithful hearts, so that we too may become proclaimers of the Gospel.
In today’s first reading from the Epistle to the Philippians, Saint Paul teaches us that our true identity is not found in external things, but in Christ. The things in which he once took pride — lineage, status, and worldly achievements — he considered as loss for the sake of the Lord. Saint Paul says that knowing Jesus is the greatest gain.
This Word challenges us to give up our pride, achievements, and selfish desires, and to give first place to the Lord. When we are ready to lose everything for Jesus, only then do we find the true meaning and joy of life.
In today’s Gospel from the Gospel of Luke, we see the humility, love, and mercy of our Lord Jesus. Through the parables of the lost sheep and the lost coin, He teaches us that every person is precious in God’s eyes, even those whom society considers unimportant. God’s love and mercy are for them as well.
When a sinner repents and returns to the Lord, there is great rejoicing in heaven. This Word reminds us not to focus on the sins of others, but to practice mercy, forgiveness, and love in our lives. Then God will never abandon us, but will help us to walk on the path of truth.
