“Living Stones in Christ and the Healing of Blindness”
आज के पहले पाठ में प्रेरित पेत्रुस हमें बताते हैं कि प्रभु येसु स्वयं जीवित पत्थर हैं, जिन्हें मनुष्यों ने अस्वीकार किया, लेकिन ईश्वर ने चुना और आदरणीय ठहराया।
हम भी उस जीवित पत्थर पर आधारित होकर कलीसिया का हिस्सा हैं। इसका अर्थ है कि हर विश्वासी केवल दर्शक नहीं, बल्कि कलीसिया की नींव और उसकी शक्ति का हिस्सा है।
हमें पवित्र याजक बनकर ऐसा जीवन जीना है जो ईश्वर को प्रसन्न करे और उसके प्रेम का साक्ष्य दे।
1. जीवित पत्थर में पहचान:
मसीह स्वयं वह आधार हैं जिस पर हमारा विश्वास खड़ा है।
हम सभी को उनके शरीर यानी कलीसिया में सक्रिय भूमिका निभानी है।
2. हमारी बुलाहट:
हम “चुनी हुई जाति, राजकीय याजकता” हैं—जो दुनिया में ईश्वर की महिमा का प्रचार करते हैं।
3. सुसमाचार – बरतिमेउस की पुकार:
बरतिमेउस, एक अंधा व्यक्ति, येसु को पुकारता है:
“हे दाऊद के पुत्र, मुझ पर दया कीजिए।”
लोग उसे चुप कराना चाहते थे, लेकिन उसने विश्वास नहीं छोड़ा। येसु ने उसकी पुकार सुनी और कहा: “तुम्हारे विश्वास ने तुम्हें चंगा किया है।”
4. विश्वास से दृष्टि प्राप्त होती है:
बरतिमेउस केवल शारीरिक दृष्टि ही नहीं पाता, बल्कि शिष्यत्व की नई दृष्टि भी प्राप्त करता है।
हम भी पाप, निराशा और स्वार्थ के अंधकार में बैठे हैं। लेकिन जब हम विश्वास से येसु को पुकारते हैं, वे हमें नई रोशनी देते हैं।
आइए हम प्रेम, क्षमा और सेवा के जीवन से “जीवित पत्थर” बनें और कलीसिया में प्रकाश फैलाएँ।
“Living Stones in Christ and the Healing of Blindness”
In today’s first reading, St. Peter tells us that Jesus Christ Himself is the living stone, rejected by men but chosen and precious in the sight of God.
We too, built upon this living stone, are part of the Church. This means that every believer is not just a spectator but a living part of the foundation of the Church.
We are called to be a holy priesthood, living lives that please God and bear witness to His love.
1. Identity as living stones:
Christ is the foundation of our faith.
We are called to be active members of His Church.
2. Our calling:
We are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, called to proclaim God’s glory in the world.
3. Gospel – The cry of Bartimaeus:
Bartimaeus, a blind man, cries out:
“Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me.”
Though people tried to silence him, he persisted in faith. Jesus heard him and said, “Your faith has healed you.”
4. Faith brings sight:
Bartimaeus receives not only physical sight but also spiritual vision as a disciple of Christ.
We too are often blind due to sin, despair, and selfishness. But when we cry out to Jesus in faith, He gives us new vision and healing.
Let us become “living stones” through love, forgiveness, and service, spreading the light of Christ in the Church and society.
