येसु की प्रार्थना: एकता, सुरक्षा और सत्य में पवित्रता

आज के सुसमाचार में हम येसु की अपने शिष्यों के लिए की गई सुंदर प्रार्थना को सुनते हैं। येसु जानते हैं कि वे अब संसार से विदा होने वाले हैं, इसलिए वे अपने शिष्यों को पिता के सामने प्रेम और चिंता के साथ सौंपते हैं। यह प्रार्थना केवल उनके समय के लिए नहीं, बल्कि आज हमारे लिए भी है।

येसु कहते हैं: “पवित्र पिता, तू अपने नाम में उनकी रक्षा कर, ताकि वे एक हों, जैसे हम एक हैं।” यहाँ एकता येसु की प्रार्थना का मुख्य विषय है।

आज के समाज में हम बहुत विभाजन देखते हैं—परिवारों में, समाज में, और यहाँ तक कि कलीसिया के भीतर भी। संस्कृति, भाषा, विचार और स्वार्थ के कारण लोग टूट जाते हैं। लेकिन येसु चाहते हैं कि उनके शिष्य प्रेम, सत्य और मिशन में एक रहें।

1. एकता के साधन बनें: हम विभाजन के नहीं, बल्कि एकता के साधन बनने के लिए बुलाए गए हैं। हमारा जीवन प्रेम और मेल-मिलाप का चिन्ह होना चाहिए।

येसु आगे प्रार्थना करते हैं: “मैं यह नहीं मांगता कि तू उन्हें संसार से उठा ले, बल्कि यह कि तू उन्हें दुष्ट से बचा।”

हम उसी संसार में रहते हैं जहाँ प्रलोभन, भ्रष्टाचार, हिंसा और घृणा मौजूद हैं। येसु हमें संसार से दूर नहीं करते, बल्कि संसार में रहते हुए विश्वासयोग्य बने रहने की शक्ति देते हैं।

2. संसार में प्रकाश बनें: हमारा मिशन है अंधकार में प्रकाश बनना, संघर्ष में शांति लाना और निराशा में आशा जगाना।

अंत में येसु कहते हैं: “सत्य के द्वारा उन्हें पवित्र कर; तेरा वचन ही सत्य है।”

आज के समाज में सत्य अक्सर तोड़ा-मरोड़ा जाता है। लोग अपने लाभ के लिए झूठ का सहारा लेते हैं। लेकिन मसीही होने के नाते हमें ईश्वर के वचन के सत्य में स्थिर रहना है।

3. सत्य में पवित्रता: हमें सुसमाचार के अनुसार जीवन जीना है—ईमानदारी, न्याय और धार्मिकता में दृढ़ रहकर।

प्रिय भाइयों और बहनों, यह येसु की प्रार्थना आज भी हमारे लिए जीवित है। वे हमारे लिए प्रार्थना करते हैं—एकता के लिए, सुरक्षा के लिए और सत्य में पवित्रता के लिए।

आइए हम इस प्रार्थना को अपने जीवन में अपनाएँ और प्रेम, एकता और सत्य के साक्षी बनें। आमेन।

Jesus’ Prayer: Unity, Protection, and Holiness in Truth

In today’s Gospel, we listen to the beautiful prayer of Jesus for His disciples. Jesus knows that He is about to leave the world, and so He entrusts His followers to the Father with deep love and concern. This prayer is not only for His disciples then, but also for us today.

Jesus says: “Holy Father, protect them in your name, so that they may be one, as we are one.” Unity is at the heart of Jesus’ prayer.

In today’s society, we see division in families, communities, and even within the Church. People are divided by culture, language, ideas, and self-interest. But Jesus desires His followers to be united in love, truth, and mission.

1. Be instruments of unity: We are called not to divide, but to unite. Our lives must reflect reconciliation and love.

Jesus also prays: “I do not ask you to take them out of the world, but to protect them from the evil one.”

We live in a world filled with temptation, corruption, violence, and hatred. Jesus does not take us out of the world, but strengthens us to remain faithful in it.

2. Be light in the world: Our mission is to bring light into darkness, peace into conflict, and hope into despair.

Finally, Jesus says: “Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.”

In today’s society, truth is often distorted or ignored. Many follow lies for personal gain. But as Christians, we are called to remain firm in the truth of God’s Word.

3. Holiness in truth: We are called to live according to the Gospel—with honesty, justice, and righteousness.

Dear brothers and sisters, this prayer of Jesus is alive for us today. He continues to pray for us—for unity, protection, and holiness in truth.

Let us live this prayer daily and become witnesses of love, unity, and truth. Amen.
