“विश्वास में स्थिरता”

विश्वास में स्थिरता का अर्थ है ईश्वर के वचनों और उनकी इच्छा पर पूर्ण भरोसा रखना। पवित्र शास्त्र में हम अब्राहम का उदाहरण देखते हैं। उत्पत्ति 15:6 में लिखा है कि “अब्राहम ने प्रभु पर विश्वास किया और प्रभु ने उसे धार्मिक माना।” यद्यपि उसकी आयु अधिक हो चुकी थी और उसके कोई संतान नहीं थी, फिर भी उसने ईश्वर की प्रतिज्ञा पर भरोसा रखा। अंततः ईश्वर ने उसे इसहाक प्रदान किया और उसकी संतति को आकाश के तारों के समान असंख्य बनाया। इसलिए अब्राहम को विश्वास का पिता कहा जाता है।

आज के प्रथम पाठ में हम तिमथी के बारे में सुनते हैं। वह यहूदी और यूनानी दोनों पृष्ठभूमि से संबंधित था। संत पौलुस ने उसे सुसमाचार प्रचार के कार्य में अपने साथ लिया। यद्यपि समाज में अनेक परंपराएँ और दबाव थे, फिर भी तिमथी का विश्वास प्रभु येसु में दृढ़ बना रहा। उसने साहस के साथ प्रभु के संदेश का प्रचार किया और अपने जीवन को ईश्वर की सेवा के लिए समर्पित कर दिया।

नबी यिर्मयाह 17:7 में प्रभु कहते हैं, “धन्य है वह मनुष्य जो प्रभु पर भरोसा रखता है और प्रभु को अपना सहारा बनाता है।” जब हम ईश्वर पर विश्वास करते हैं, तब जीवन की कठिन परिस्थितियाँ भी हमें विचलित नहीं कर पातीं। हमारा विश्वास हमें स्थिरता, शांति और आशा प्रदान करता है।

आज के सुसमाचार में प्रभु येसु अपने शिष्यों को बताते हैं कि संसार उनके अनुयायियों को स्वीकार नहीं करेगा। यदि संसार ने येसु का विरोध किया, तो उनके शिष्यों को भी विरोध और कठिनाइयों का सामना करना पड़ सकता है। लेकिन यह हमें निराश करने के लिए नहीं, बल्कि हमारे विश्वास को और अधिक मजबूत बनाने के लिए कहा गया है।

संत पौलुस कुरिन्थियों के नाम प्रथम पत्र 16:13 में कहते हैं, “जागते रहो, विश्वास में दृढ़ रहो, साहसी और समर्थ बनो।” यह वचन आज भी हमें प्रेरित करता है कि हम अपने विश्वास को कभी कमजोर न होने दें। जो व्यक्ति ईश्वर पर दृढ़ विश्वास रखता है, वह कभी पराजित नहीं होता, क्योंकि स्वयं ईश्वर उसकी शक्ति, उसकी आशा और उसका सहारा बन जाते हैं।

आइए आज हम यह संकल्प लें कि चाहे परिस्थितियाँ कैसी भी हों, हम अपने विश्वास में स्थिर बने रहेंगे और अपने जीवन के द्वारा दूसरों को भी ईश्वर पर भरोसा करना सिखाएँगे।

“Steadfastness in Faith”

Steadfastness in faith means placing complete trust in God’s Word and in His holy will. In Genesis 15:6, we read that “Abraham believed the Lord, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” Even when Abraham was old and had no son, he trusted God’s promise. In time, God fulfilled His promise by giving him Isaac and making him the father of a great nation. Because of his unwavering trust, Abraham is rightly called the Father of Faith.

In today’s First Reading, we hear about Timothy, a disciple who came from both Jewish and Greek backgrounds. Saint Paul chose him to accompany him in the mission of spreading the Gospel. Although he faced cultural expectations and challenges, Timothy remained faithful to Christ and courageously proclaimed the Good News.

The Prophet Jeremiah reminds us in Jeremiah 17:7, “Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him.” When we place our trust in God, difficult situations cannot shake our hearts. Faith gives us stability, peace, and hope even during times of uncertainty.

In today’s Gospel, Jesus warns His disciples that the world may reject them because they belong to Him. Just as He experienced opposition, His followers may also face trials and persecution. Yet these challenges are not meant to discourage us but to strengthen our faith and deepen our dependence on God.

Saint Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 16:13, “Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.” These words continue to inspire us today. A person who places firm trust in God is never truly defeated because God Himself becomes that person’s strength, hope, and support.

Let us resolve today to remain steadfast in our faith regardless of circumstances. May our trust in God grow stronger each day, and may our lives inspire others to place their confidence in the Lord.
