“प्रेम, जिम्मेदारी और विश्वासयोग्यता”
पुण्य सप्ताह के इस पवित्र समय में आज के दोनों पाठ हमें अपने जीवन में जिम्मेदारी, ईमानदारी और सच्चे प्रेम के मूल्यों को अपनाने के लिए आमंत्रित करते हैं। ईश्वर ने प्रत्येक व्यक्ति को अनेक वरदानों और योग्यताओं से समृद्ध किया है। इन वरदानों का उद्देश्य केवल स्वयं के लिए नहीं, बल्कि दूसरों के कल्याण और ईश्वर की महिमा के लिए फल उत्पन्न करना है।
पहले पाठ में नबी इसायाह के माध्यम से हम देखते हैं कि ईश्वर अपने सेवक को एक विशेष मिशन सौंपते हैं—अंधों को दृष्टि देना, बंदियों को मुक्ति दिलाना और अंधकार में रहने वालों को प्रकाश प्रदान करना। यह हमें स्मरण दिलाता है कि हम भी अपने जीवन में ईश्वर के प्रेम और प्रकाश के साधन बनने के लिए बुलाए गए हैं।
आज के सुसमाचार में मरियम का प्रभु येसु के प्रति गहरा प्रेम और समर्पण दिखाई देता है। उसने बहुमूल्य इत्र से येसु के चरणों का अभिषेक किया। उसे इस बात की चिंता नहीं थी कि लोग उसके बारे में क्या सोचेंगे। उसके लिए केवल एक बात महत्वपूर्ण थी—अपने प्रभु के प्रति प्रेम।
इसके विपरीत, हम यूदस को देखते हैं जिसका हृदय धीरे-धीरे लालच और स्वार्थ से भर गया था। उसका ध्यान प्रभु का अनुसरण करने से हटकर सांसारिक लाभ की ओर चला गया। अंततः वही लालच उसे अपने गुरु को धोखा देने तक ले गया।
आज का वचन हमें आत्म-परीक्षण करने के लिए आमंत्रित करता है। क्या हमारा प्रेम भी मरियम की तरह निष्कपट और समर्पित है? या कहीं हमारा विश्वास संसारिकता, स्वार्थ और लालच से प्रभावित तो नहीं हो रहा?
आइए हम ईश्वर के दिए हुए वरदानों को पहचानें, उन्हें जिम्मेदारीपूर्वक उपयोग करें और अपने जीवन से अच्छे फल उत्पन्न करें। मरियम की तरह प्रभु से प्रेम करें और यूदस की भूलों से सीख लेते हुए अपने हृदय को संसारिक लालच से बचाएँ।
इस पुण्य सप्ताह में हम प्रभु के और निकट आएँ तथा उनके प्रति अपने प्रेम और विश्वास को नवीनीकृत करें।
“A Love That Remains Faithful”
As we continue our journey through Holy Week, today's readings invite us to live with responsibility, integrity, and wholehearted love for the Lord. God has blessed each of us with unique gifts and talents, not merely for ourselves, but to bear fruit for His Kingdom and to serve others.
In the first reading, God calls His servant and entrusts him with a noble mission: to bring sight to the blind, freedom to captives, and light to those who walk in darkness. This reminds us that we too are called to become instruments of God's love, hope, and healing in the world.
In today's Gospel, we encounter Mary of Bethany, whose deep love for Jesus is expressed through the anointing of His feet with costly perfume. She is unconcerned about public opinion or personal dignity. Her focus is entirely on Jesus and her love for Him.
In contrast, Judas reveals the danger of allowing materialism and selfishness to corrupt the heart. His attention gradually shifts from following the Lord to pursuing personal gain. What begins as greed eventually leads to betrayal.
These readings challenge us to examine our own hearts. Is our love for Christ growing deeper and more sincere like Mary's? Or is our faith losing its purity because of worldly distractions and selfish desires?
Holy Week is a privileged time to renew our commitment to the Lord. Let us recognize the gifts God has given us and use them faithfully. May we avoid the path of Judas and instead imitate Mary's devotion, placing Christ at the center of our lives.
May our love for Jesus remain undivided, sincere, and faithful, leading us closer to Him each day.
