“प्रभु के दुःखभोग के साथ चलना”

आज दुखभोग का रविवार तथा खजूर रविवार है। यह दिन प्रभु येसु के येरूसालेम में विजयी प्रवेश की स्मृति दिलाता है। लोग खजूर की डालियाँ लेकर उनका स्वागत करते हैं और “होसान्ना” का जयघोष करते हैं। किन्तु यही मार्ग आगे चलकर क्रूस तक पहुँचता है।

नबी इसायाह मसीह के दुःखभोग की भविष्यवाणी करते हुए उनके आज्ञापालन और ईश्वर पर पूर्ण भरोसे को प्रस्तुत करते हैं। हमें भी मसीह के अनुयायी होने के नाते ईश्वर की इच्छा को स्वीकार करते हुए विश्वास और आज्ञाकारिता का जीवन जीना है।

प्रेरित संत पौलुस हमें प्रभु येसु की विनम्रता का उदाहरण देते हैं। यद्यपि वे ईश्वर के पुत्र थे, फिर भी उन्होंने दास का रूप धारण किया और अपने आपको दीन बना लिया। इसी कारण ईश्वर ने उन्हें सर्वोच्च महिमा प्रदान की।

ख्रीस्तीय जीवन दुःख से बचने का जीवन नहीं है, बल्कि आत्मत्याग करते हुए अपना क्रूस उठाकर प्रभु के पीछे चलने का जीवन है। प्रभु येसु ने अपनी विनम्रता और प्रेम को सर्वोच्च रूप में प्रकट करते हुए पवित्र यूखरिस्त संस्कार की स्थापना की, जो ख्रीस्तीय जीवन का केंद्र बिंदु है।

आज हम स्वयं से पूछें: क्या हम केवल उत्साह में “होसान्ना” कहते हैं, या वास्तव में प्रभु का अनुसरण करने के लिए तैयार हैं? क्या हम उनके साथ क्रूस के मार्ग पर चलने को तैयार हैं?

यह पवित्र सप्ताह हमारे लिए आत्म-परिवर्तन का समय बने। हम पाप से दूर हों, प्रार्थना में बढ़ें, मेल-मिलाप और क्षमा को अपनाएँ तथा प्रभु के और निकट आएँ।

आइए हम प्रभु येसु के दुःखभोग में सहभागी बनें, ताकि उनके पुनरुत्थान के आनंद में भी सहभागी हो सकें।

“Walking with the Lord in His Passion”

Today we celebrate Palm Sunday, also known as Passion Sunday. It marks Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem as people welcomed Him with palm branches and joyful cries of “Hosanna.” Yet this celebration already points toward the Cross.

The prophet Isaiah foretells the suffering of the Messiah and highlights His obedience and complete trust in God. As followers of Christ, we too are called to obey God’s will and place our full trust in Him.

In the second reading, Saint Paul presents Jesus as the perfect model of humility. Though He was the Son of God, He emptied Himself, took the form of a servant, and became obedient even unto death. Because of this humility, God highly exalted Him.

Christian life is not a life free from suffering. Rather, it is a life of self-denial, carrying our cross daily, and following Christ faithfully. Jesus revealed the depth of His love and humility by instituting the Holy Eucharist, the very center of Christian life.

Today we are invited to ask ourselves: Are we only willing to shout “Hosanna” when life is easy, or are we ready to follow Jesus on the road to Calvary? Will we remain faithful when discipleship requires sacrifice?

Holy Week calls us to true conversion. It invites us to turn away from sin, deepen our prayer life, seek reconciliation and forgiveness, and grow closer to the Lord each day.

Let us walk with Jesus in His Passion so that we may also share in the joy of His Resurrection and proclaim with faith that He is truly our Lord and Savior.
