“दोष मत लगाओ”
ख्रीस्त में मेरे प्यारे भाइयों और बहनों,
आज के पवित्र पाठ हमें दो महत्वपूर्ण बातों की ओर ध्यान दिलाते हैं — पहला, ईश्वर के प्रति निष्ठा; और दूसरा, अपने हृदय की विनम्रता।
पहले पाठ में हम सुनते हैं कि इस्राएल की प्रजा ने बार-बार प्रभु की चेतावनियों को अनसुना किया। नबियों के द्वारा उन्हें बुलाया गया कि वे अपने बुरे मार्ग से लौट आयें, परन्तु वे हठी बने रहे और पराये देवताओं की ओर मुड़ गये। अंततः उनके इस अविश्वास और अवज्ञा का परिणाम यह हुआ कि वे पराजित हुए और निर्वासन में ले जाए गये। यह घटना हमें याद दिलाती है कि जब मनुष्य ईश्वर से दूर हो जाता है, तो उसका जीवन भी धीरे-धीरे सही दिशा खो देता है।
सुसमाचार में प्रभु येसु हमारे दैनिक जीवन की एक और गहरी सच्चाई पर प्रकाश डालते हैं। वे कहते हैं “दोष मत लगाओ।” मनुष्य के लिए दूसरों की कमियों को देखना बहुत आसान है, परन्तु अपने भीतर झाँकना कठिन होता है। येसु हमें सिखाते हैं कि पहले हम अपने हृदय को शुद्ध करें, अपनी कमियों को पहचानें और विनम्र बनें। तभी हम सच में अपने भाई-बहनों की सहायता कर सकते हैं।
इस प्रकार आज के दोनों पाठ हमें आत्म-परीक्षण की ओर बुलाते हैं। हमें यह देखना है कि कहीं हम भी तो ईश्वर से दूर नहीं हो रहे, और कहीं हम दूसरों का न्याय करने में जल्दबाजी तो नहीं कर रहे।
आइए हम प्रभु से यह अनुग्रह माँगें कि वह हमारे हृदय को विनम्र बनाये, हमें सच्चा आत्म-चिंतन करने की कृपा दे, ताकि हम प्रेम, दया और सच्चाई के साथ जीवन जी सकें। आमेन।
“Do Not Judge”
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
Today’s readings invite us to reflect on two important aspects of our spiritual life: faithfulness to God and humility of heart.
In the first reading we hear how the people of Israel repeatedly ignored God’s warnings. Through the prophets they were called to turn away from their wrong ways, yet they remained stubborn and followed other gods. Because of this disobedience, they eventually faced defeat and exile. This reminds us that when people turn away from God, their lives gradually lose the right direction.
In the Gospel, Jesus speaks about another important truth of daily life. He says, “Do not judge.” It is easy for us to notice the faults of others, but much harder to recognize our own weaknesses. Jesus teaches us to examine our own hearts first and to remove the “beam” from our own eyes before trying to correct our brothers and sisters.
Both readings therefore invite us to sincere self-examination. We are called to ask ourselves whether we are remaining faithful to God and whether we are quick to judge others instead of growing in humility.
May the Lord give us the grace to purify our hearts, so that we may live with humility, mercy, and love toward one another. Amen.
