“प्रेम और क्षमा का मार्ग”
ख्रीस्त में मेरे प्रिय भाइयों और बहनों,
अक्सर हमारे जीवन में हम देखते हैं कि जब कोई हमारे साथ बुरा व्यवहार करता है या हमें चोट पहुँचाता है, तो हमारे मन में बदला लेने की भावना उत्पन्न हो जाती है। हमें लगता है कि जिसने हमारे साथ गलत किया है, उसे भी उसी प्रकार का उत्तर दिया जाए। लेकिन आज के पवित्र पाठ हमें एक अलग मार्ग दिखाते हैं — धैर्य, न्याय और प्रेम का मार्ग।
पहले पाठ में हम नाबोत की दाखबारी की घटना सुनते हैं। राजा अहाब नाबोत की दाखबारी को लेना चाहता था, लेकिन नाबोत ने अपने पुरखों की विरासत को छोड़ने से इनकार कर दिया। तब रानी ईज़ेबेल ने छल और झूठ का सहारा लेकर नाबोत को मरवा दिया और उसकी दाखबारी छीन ली। यह घटना हमें बताती है कि लालच, सत्ता और अन्याय किस प्रकार निर्दोष लोगों के साथ अत्याचार कर सकते हैं।
दूसरी ओर आज के सुसमाचार में प्रभु येसु हमें एक बिलकुल अलग शिक्षा देते हैं। वे कहते हैं, “यदि कोई तुम्हारे दाहिने गाल पर थप्पड़ मारे, तो दूसरा भी उसके सामने कर दो” (मत्ती 5:39)। प्रभु येसु हमें प्रतिशोध का नहीं बल्कि प्रेम और क्षमा का मार्ग सिखाते हैं। इसका अर्थ यह नहीं कि हम अन्याय को स्वीकार करें, बल्कि यह कि हम बुराई का उत्तर बुराई से नहीं बल्कि अच्छाई से दें।
नाबोत के साथ अन्याय हुआ, लेकिन आज का सुसमाचार हमें याद दिलाता है कि ईश्वर के राज्य में सच्ची विजय प्रेम और क्षमा के द्वारा होती है। जब हम क्षमा करते हैं, तब हम उस घृणा और बदले की श्रृंखला को तोड़ देते हैं जो संसार में संघर्ष और विभाजन पैदा करती है।
मेरे प्रिय भाइयों और बहनों, आज हमें अपने जीवन पर विचार करने की आवश्यकता है। क्या हम दूसरों की गलतियों को क्षमा कर पाते हैं? क्या हम बुराई का उत्तर भलाई से देने का साहस रखते हैं? आइए हम प्रभु से प्रार्थना करें कि वह हमें ऐसा हृदय प्रदान करें जो क्रोध और प्रतिशोध से मुक्त हो, और हमें प्रेम, धैर्य तथा क्षमा के मार्ग पर चलने की शक्ति दे। ताकि हमारे जीवन के द्वारा संसार में ईश्वर के प्रेम और शांति का प्रकाश फैल सके। आमेन।
“The Path of Love and Forgiveness”
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
In our daily life, whenever someone hurts us or treats us unjustly, our natural reaction is often to seek revenge. We feel that the person who has done wrong to us should receive the same in return. However, today’s readings invite us to a different path — the path of patience, justice, and love.
In the first reading we hear about Naboth’s vineyard. King Ahab desired Naboth’s vineyard, but Naboth refused to give up the inheritance of his ancestors. Then Queen Jezebel used deceit and false accusations to have Naboth killed and took his vineyard. This story shows us how greed, power, and injustice can harm innocent people.
In the Gospel, however, Jesus teaches something completely different. He says, “If anyone strikes you on the right cheek, turn the other also” (Matthew 5:39). Jesus teaches us not the way of revenge, but the way of love and forgiveness. This does not mean accepting injustice passively, but responding to evil not with evil, but with goodness.
While Naboth suffered injustice, the Gospel reminds us that in God’s Kingdom the true victory comes through love and forgiveness. When we forgive, we break the cycle of hatred and revenge that causes division and suffering in the world.
My dear brothers and sisters, today we are invited to reflect on our own lives. Are we able to forgive those who hurt us? Do we have the courage to respond to evil with goodness? Let us pray that the Lord may give us a heart free from anger and revenge, and grant us the grace to walk in the path of love, patience, and forgiveness. Through our lives may the light of God’s peace and love shine in the world. Amen.
