“ईश्वर के मिशन में सहभागी बनें”
ख्रीस्त में मेरे प्रिय भाइयों और बहनों,
आज के पवित्र पाठ हमें ईश्वर के प्रेम, उसकी करुणा और उसके मिशन के बारे में गहराई से सोचने के लिए आमंत्रित करते हैं। जब हम इन पाठों को ध्यान से सुनते हैं, तो हमें यह समझ में आता है कि ईश्वर केवल हमें बुलाते ही नहीं, बल्कि हमें अपने कार्य में सहभागी भी बनाते हैं।
पहले पाठ में हम देखते हैं कि जब इस्राएली मिस्र की गुलामी से निकलकर सिनाई पर्वत के पास पहुँचे, तब प्रभु ने मूसा के द्वारा उन्हें एक विशेष बुलाहट दी। प्रभु कहते हैं कि यदि वे उसकी वाणी सुनेंगे और उसके विधान का पालन करेंगे, तो वे सब राष्ट्रों में उसकी अपनी प्रजा बनेंगे, “याजकों का राजवंश और पवित्र राष्ट्र।” यहाँ ईश्वर अपने लोगों को केवल आशीर्वाद देने के लिए नहीं चुनते, बल्कि उन्हें संसार के लिए एक साक्षी बनने के लिए चुनते हैं।
दूसरे पाठ में संत पौलुस हमें याद दिलाते हैं कि ईश्वर का प्रेम कितना महान है। जब हम अभी भी कमजोर और पापी थे, तब मसीह हमारे लिए मर गए। यह प्रेम केवल शब्दों का नहीं, बल्कि बलिदान का प्रेम है। मसीह के द्वारा हमारा ईश्वर के साथ मेल हुआ है, और इसी मेल-मिलाप के कारण हमें नई आशा और नया जीवन मिला है।
सुसमाचार में हम देखते हैं कि जब प्रभु येसु लोगों की भीड़ को देखते हैं, तो उनके हृदय में करुणा उमड़ पड़ती है, क्योंकि वे बिना चरवाहे की भेड़ों के समान भटके हुए थे। इसी करुणा से प्रेरित होकर येसु अपने बारह शिष्यों को बुलाते हैं और उन्हें अपने मिशन में सहभागी बनाते हैं।
“Partners in God’s Mission”
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
today’s readings invite us to reflect on God’s love, His compassion, and the mission He entrusts to His people. They remind us that God not only calls us to Himself but also sends us to share in His saving work.
In the first reading from Exodus, the people of Israel arrive at Mount Sinai after being freed from slavery in Egypt. Through Moses, God reminds them how He carried them “on eagle’s wings” and brought them to Himself. He tells them that if they remain faithful to His covenant, they will become His special people—a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. This shows that God chooses His people not only for their blessing but also so that they may become a sign of His presence among the nations.
In the second reading, Saint Paul speaks about the depth of God’s love revealed in Christ. While we were still weak and sinful, Christ died for us. Through His sacrifice, we have been reconciled with God. This reconciliation fills us with hope and joy, because through Christ we now share in the life and grace of God.
In the Gospel, Jesus looks at the crowds with compassion because they are like sheep without a shepherd. Seeing their need, He calls the twelve disciples and sends them out on mission. They are asked to proclaim that the Kingdom of Heaven is near and to bring healing, hope, and freedom to those who suffer.
This message is also addressed to us today. The mission of the Church does not belong only to a few; every baptized believer shares in it. Wherever we live and serve, we are called to reflect Christ’s compassion and to bring the light of the Gospel to others. When we respond to this call with faith and generosity, our lives themselves become a witness to God’s love and a sign that His Kingdom is already at work in the world. Amen.
