“संसार की ज्योति बनो”
इस संसार में जो भी वस्तुएँ या प्राणी ईश्वर द्वारा बनाए गए हैं, उनकी अपनी एक विशेषता होती है, और वे अपनी विशेष गुणों के लिए पहचाने जाते हैं।
उत्पत्ति 2:7 में लिखा है कि परमेश्वर ने मनुष्य को मिट्टी से गढ़ा और उसके नथनों में प्राण वायु फूँक दी। इसका अर्थ है कि ईश्वर ने मनुष्य को अपनी कुछ विशेषताएँ प्रदान की हैं — जैसे प्रेम, करुणा, दया और ईश्वर को समझने की क्षमता।
आज के सुसमाचार में यीशु कहते हैं: “तुम संसार की ज्योति हो।” ज्योति का कार्य अंधकार को दूर करना और प्रकाश फैलाना होता है।
प्रिय मित्रों, आज की दुनिया वैसी नहीं है जैसी प्रभु ईश्वर ने प्रारंभ में बनाई थी। यह दुनिया अब कई प्रकार के अंधकार से भरी हुई है — घृणा, अत्याचार, लोभ, बेईमानी और झूठ से।
ऐसे समय में हम सबको इस संसार में भेजा गया है ताकि हम ईश्वर के गुणों के साथ इस अंधकार को दूर करें और लोगों को मसीह के प्रकाश में जीवन जीना सिखाएँ।
“You Are the Light of the World”
Everything and every creature that God has created in this world has its own unique quality, and they are known by their special characteristics.
In Genesis 2:7 it is written that God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life. This means God has given human beings some of His own qualities — such as love, compassion, mercy, and the ability to know God.
In today’s Gospel, Jesus says: “You are the light of the world.” The work of light is to dispel darkness and spread brightness.
Dear friends, today’s world is not as God created it in the beginning. It is now filled with many kinds of darkness — hatred, oppression, greed, dishonesty, and lies.
In such a time, we have all been sent into this world with God’s qualities so that we may remove this darkness from people’s lives and teach them to live in the light of Christ.
Our task is to console people in their worries and sufferings and to help them walk on the path of light. Amen.
