“मसीह के लिए सताया जाना”
हम प्रेरितचरित में पढ़ते हैं कि संत पौलुस पहले कलीसिया पर अत्याचार करते थे और लोगों के जीवन में दुःख व पीड़ा लाते थे। लेकिन अब वही व्यक्ति सताया जा रहा है और नफरत का शिकार बन रहा है।
प्रिय मित्रों, मेरे मन में प्रश्न उठता है — जब वे कलीसिया पर अत्याचार कर रहे थे, तब उन्हें कोई बाहर क्यों नहीं निकाल रहा था? लेकिन जब उन्होंने प्रेम से कलीसिया को अपनाया, तब उन्हें बाहर निकाला जा रहा है।
उत्तर सरल है — क्योंकि अब वे मसीह में हैं। 2 तिमथी 3:12 में लिखा है: “जो लोग मसीह यीशु में भक्तिपूर्वक जीवन बिताना चाहेंगे, उन्हें सताया जाएगा।”
हम देखते हैं कि जिन शिष्यों, संतों और कलीसिया के पवित्र जनों ने मसीह का नाम धारण किया, उन्हें सताया गया, शहीद किया गया और मार डाला गया।
ऐसा क्या था जो उन्हें इतनी पीड़ा सहने की शक्ति देता था? यह उनकी परमेश्वर के साथ निकटता और गहरा संबंध था, जो कठिन समय में उन्हें सांत्वना देता था और मसीह के लिए प्राण देने तक प्रोत्साहित करता था।
आज के पाठ में हम सुनते हैं कि “पूरा धर्मग्रन्थ ईश्वर की प्रेरणा से लिखा गया है। वह शिक्षा देने के लिए, भ्रान्त धारणाओं का खण्डन करने के लिए, जीवन के सुधार के लिए और सदाचरण का प्रशिक्षण देने के लिए उपयोगी है।”
“Persecuted for Christ”
In the Acts of the Apostles, we read how Saint Paul once persecuted the Church and brought suffering to many. But now the same person is being persecuted and hated.
Dear friends, a question arises in my mind: Why was he not thrown out when he was persecuting the Church? But when he embraced the Church with love, he was driven out.
The answer is simple — because now he is in Christ. As 2 Timothy 3:12 says, “All who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.”
We see that the disciples, saints, and holy people who bore the name of Christ were persecuted, martyred, and killed.
What gave them the strength to endure such pain and suffering? It was their deep intimacy and personal relationship with God, which consoled them in difficult times and encouraged them to give their lives for Christ.
In today’s reading, we hear that “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.”
In this Holy Eucharist, let us pray that by God’s grace we too may develop a deep and personal relationship with the Lord. Amen.
