“ईश्वर और पड़ोसी से प्रेम करो”
जब हम आज्ञाओं की बात करते हैं तो पुराने नियम में बहुत सी आज्ञाएँ दी गई हैं, परंतु आज के सुसमाचार में यीशु हमें दो सबसे बड़ी आज्ञाएँ देते हैं जो पूरी व्यवस्था को अपने में समाहित कर लेती हैं।
1. अपने प्रभु ईश्वर को अपने सारे हृदय, अपनी सारी आत्मा और अपनी सारी बुद्धि से प्यार करो।
2. अपने पड़ोसी से अपने समान प्यार करो।
प्यारे भाइयो और बहनों, किसी दूसरे को अपने समान या अपने से अधिक प्रेम करना हमारे लिए स्वाभाविक रूप से आसान नहीं होता। हमारा मन अक्सर अपने ही लाभ, सुरक्षा और इच्छाओं की ओर झुकता है। इसलिए पड़ोसी से सच्चा प्रेम करना एक चुनौती बन जाता है।
परंतु यह असंभव नहीं है। यह तभी संभव होता है जब हम अपने जीवन को ईश्वर के प्रेम को समर्पित करते हैं। जब हम उन्हें अपने हृदय में स्थान देते हैं, तब उनका प्रेम हमारे भीतर काम करने लगता है।
“प्रेम” शब्द सुनने में कितना सुंदर लगता है। हम सब प्रेम पाना चाहते हैं, परंतु जब हम इस प्रेम को अपने जीवन में जीने का प्रयास करते हैं, तब हमें कड़वापन, संघर्ष और पीड़ा का अनुभव होता है।
येसु के लिए आज्ञाओं का पालन कोई बोझ नहीं था, क्योंकि उनका हृदय अपने स्वर्गीय पिता के प्रेम से भरा हुआ था। वे प्रार्थना में पिता के साथ गहरा संबंध बनाए रखते थे, और उसी संबंध से उन्हें शक्ति और साहस मिलता था।
“Love God and Your Neighbor”
While the Old Law contains many commandments, in today’s Gospel Jesus gives us the two greatest commandments that sum up the entire Law:
1. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.
2. You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
Dear brothers and sisters, loving others as ourselves is not always easy. Our hearts often lean toward our own benefit, security, and desires. That is why truly loving our neighbor becomes a real challenge.
But it is not impossible. It becomes possible when we surrender our lives to God. When we make space for Him in our hearts, His love begins to work within us.
The word “Love” sounds so beautiful. We all want to receive love, but when we try to live it, we often face bitterness, struggle, and pain.
For Jesus, keeping the commandments was never a burden because His heart was filled with the love of His Heavenly Father. He would often go to a lonely place in the morning and evening to pray and draw strength from His deep relationship with the Father.
This is the secret for us too. When we spend time with God in prayer and solitude, we receive the strength to overcome temptations and to live a life of genuine love.
