पहले पाठ में हम देखते हैं कि राजा दाऊद कैसे एक गंभीर पाप में गिर जाता है। दाऊद का पाप एक साधारण दृष्टि से शुरू हुआ, लेकिन जैसे कोई बीज गुप्त रूप से बोया जाए, यह तुरंत छल, कपट और हत्या तक बढ़ गया। उसने अपने पाप को ढकने की कोशिश की, लेकिन पाप एक खरपतवार की तरह होता है जो आत्मा का गला घोंट देता है।

इसके विपरीत, सुसमाचार में येसु हमें बताते हैं कि ईश्वर का राज्य उस बीज के समान है जिसकी वृद्धि रहस्यमय और अक्सर अदृश्य होती है, लेकिन अंततः यह एक भरपूर फसल में बदलती है। सरसों का छोटा सा बीज सबसे बड़ा पौधा बन जाता है।

यहाँ एक गहरा संबंध है: पाप और कृपा दोनों ही गुप्त रूप से शुरू होते हैं। दाऊद की कहानी एक चेतावनी है कि पाप छोटे समझौतों से शुरू होता है। दूसरी ओर, ईश्वर का राज्य दया के छोटे कार्यों और प्रार्थना से शुरू होता है। आइए हम अपने हृदय की मिट्टी की जाँच करें और ईश्वर की कृपा के बीजों को विकसित होने दें।

"Hidden Seeds and Hidden Sins: What Grows in Our Hearts?"

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, today’s readings present two contrasting stories: the hidden work of God and the hidden work of sin. Together, they ask us: What is growing silently in the soil of our hearts?

In the first reading, King David falls into grave sin. It began with a small glance, but like a seed planted in secret, it grew into deception and murder. David’s story is a warning that sin starts with small compromises we think we can hide, but it eventually chokes the soul.

Contrast this with the Gospel, where Jesus explains that the Kingdom of God is like a scattered seed. Its growth is mysterious and unseen, leading to a rich harvest. Even the tiny mustard seed becomes the largest of garden plants.

Both sin and grace begin in secret. Both are seeds. Both grow. But only one brings life. Are we planting seeds of deception, or seeds of faith, love, and truth? Let us uproot hidden sins and nurture the seeds of grace, for what we sow in secret will one day be revealed in the light.
