प्रिय भाइयों और बहनों, आज के दोनों पाठ हमें यह बताते हैं कि सच्चा प्रेम और ईश्वर का मिशन अक्सर गलत समझा जाता है, फिर भी वह प्रेम दया, विश्वास और क्षमा से भरा रहता है।

सुसमाचार में हम देखते हैं कि जब येसु लोगों की भीड़ से घिरे होते हैं, तो उनके अपने परिवारजन कहते हैं कि “उन्हें अपनी सुध-बुध नहीं रह गयी है।” उनकी सेवा, करुणा और समर्पण को गलत समझा जाता है—शायद चिंता, डर, या सामाजिक दबाव के कारण।

इन दोनों पाठों में एक बात सामान्य है कि जब हम प्रेम और ईश्वर की बुलाहट के अनुसार जीवन जीते हैं, तो हमें गलतफहमियों, आलोचनाओं और अकेलेपन का सामना करना पड़ सकता है। परन्तु यदि हमारा जीवन ईश्वर के प्रेम में जुड़ा है, तो हम हर परिस्थिति में विश्वास योग्य और दयालु बने रह सकते हैं।

प्रिय भाइयों और बहनों, क्या हम भी ऐसे प्रेम और समर्पण में स्थिर रह सकते हैं, भले ही लोग हमें समझ न पाएँ? आइए, हम दाऊद और येसु के उदाहरण से प्रेरणा लें—प्रेम करें, क्षमा करें, और ईश्वर के मिशन में विश्वास योग्य बने रहें।

Dear brothers and sisters, David’s response teaches us about faithful love—a love that grieves with dignity, remembers the good, and chooses forgiveness over bitterness. His heart is not hardened by past hurt; instead, he allows love to shape his memory and mourning.

In gospel we see Jesus surrounded by crowds, to the point where He and His disciples cannot even eat. His own family, seeing this, thinks He is out of His mind. They misunderstand Him—perhaps out of fear, worry, or social pressure. But Jesus continues His mission undeterred.

Both readings reflect a common theme: True love and divine mission are often misunderstood, but they remain faithful and compassionate. David’s love for Saul and Jonathan transcends betrayal and death. Jesus’ love for humanity leads Him to endure misunderstanding even from His own family. This shows us that when our lives are rooted in God’s love, we can remain faithful in times of grief, opposition, or loneliness.
