आज के वचनों में हम देखते हैं कि ईश्वर की बुलाहट और उसके प्रति समर्पित सेवा कैसे प्रकट होती है। एक ओर, बालक समूएल को ईश्वर बुला रहे हैं; दूसरी ओर, येसु मसीह पूरे समर्पण के साथ लोगों को चंगा कर रहे हैं, शिक्षा दे रहे हैं और प्रार्थना कर रहे हैं।

ईश्वर की आवाज़ सुनना: समूएल अभी बालक था। वह मंदिर में पल रहा था, लेकिन उसने अभी तक ईश्वर की आवाज़ को पहचाना नहीं था। ईश्वर ने उसे तीन बार बुलाया। अंततः एली के मार्गदर्शन से उसने उत्तर दिया: “प्रभु! बोल, तेरा सेवक सुन रहा है।” हमारे जीवन में भी ईश्वर हमें बुलाते हैं—कभी हमारी किसी घटना के द्वारा, तो कभी किसी व्यक्ति के माध्यम से। लेकिन प्रश्न यह है—क्या हम भी समूएल की तरह कह सकते हैं, “प्रभु! बोल, तेरा सेवक सुन रहा है”? बहुत बार हम दुनिया के शोर और अपनी व्यस्तताओं में इतने उलझे रहते हैं कि ईश्वर की आवाज़ सुन ही नहीं पाते।

येसु का जीवन: प्रार्थना और सेवा का संतुलन: येसु ने सिमोन की सास को चंगा किया। फिर पूरे नगर के बीमारों और पीड़ितों को चंगा किया। उसके बाद वे एकांत में जाकर प्रार्थना करने लगे। और फिर प्रार्थना से शक्ति प्राप्त करके सेवा में आगे बढ़े। येसु का जीवन केवल शिक्षा देने या चंगाई करने का नहीं था, बल्कि प्रार्थना और सेवा का सुंदर संतुलन था। वे थककर आराम करने के बजाय प्रार्थना से सामर्थ्य लेते थे ताकि औरों की सेवा कर सकें।

आज के जीवन के लिए शिक्षा:
· ईश्वर की बुलाहट पर ध्यान दें: प्रभु हर किसी को बुला रहे हैं—चाहे वह विद्यार्थी हो, गृहिणी हो, किसान हो या दफ्तर में काम करने वाला हो।
· सेवा में आगे बढ़ें: अपने आसपास के ज़रूरतमंदों की मदद करें, प्रेम और करुणा से दूसरों को सहारा दें।
· प्रार्थना को प्राथमिकता दें, जैसे येसु ने किया, वैसे ही हम भी प्रतिदिन प्रार्थना के द्वारा ईश्वर से शक्ति प्राप्त करें।

ईश्वर हमें बुलाते हैं ताकि हम केवल अपने लिए नहीं, बल्कि दूसरों के लिए जी सकें। जब हम प्रार्थना और सेवा को साथ लेकर चलते हैं, तभी हमारा जीवन ईश्वर की योजना के अनुसार फलदायी बनता है।

In today’s readings, we see how God’s call and dedicated service are revealed. On one hand, God is calling the young Samuel; on the other, Jesus Christ, with complete dedication, is healing people, teaching, and praying.

Hearing God’s Voice: Samuel was still a child. He was growing up in the temple but had not yet recognized God’s voice. God called him three times. Finally, under Eli’s guidance, he responded: “Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening.” In our lives too, God calls us—sometimes through the peace of our soul, sometimes through events, and sometimes through other people. The question is: can we, like Samuel, say, “Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening”? Often, we are so caught up in the noise of the world and our own busyness that we fail to hear God’s voice.

The Life of Jesus: Balance of Prayer and Service: Jesus healed Simon’s mother-in-law, and then He healed the sick and afflicted in the entire town. Afterwards, He went to a quiet place to pray. Strengthened by prayer, He went forth to continue His service. Jesus’ life was not only about teaching or healing; it was a beautiful balance of prayer and service. Rather than resting from fatigue, He drew strength from prayer so that He could serve others.

Lesson for Today:
· Pay attention to God’s call: The Lord calls everyone—whether a student, homemaker, farmer, or office worker.
· Advance in service: Help those in need around you, support others with love and compassion.
· Prioritize prayer: Just as Jesus did, let us also receive strength from God through daily prayer.

God calls us to live not just for ourselves, but also for others. When we walk the path of prayer and service together, our lives become fruitful according to God’s plan.
