यह पाठ हमें ईश्वर के प्रेम की गहराई सिखाता है। संत योहन कहते हैं कि यदि ईश्वर ने हमसे ऐसा प्रेम किया है, तो हमें भी एक-दूसरे से प्रेम करना चाहिए। प्रेम में भय नहीं होता।

आज की दुनिया में, जहाँ लोग आत्मकेंद्रित, स्वार्थी और असुरक्षित होते जा रहे हैं, यह सन्देश हमें सिखाता है कि सच्ची सुरक्षा दौलत या शक्ति में नहीं, बल्कि प्रेम में है। जब हम प्रेम में जीते हैं—दूसरों की सेवा करते हैं, क्षमा करते हैं—तो हमसे डर मिटता जाता है और शांति आती है। आजकल मनुष्य तरह-तरह के डर से घिरा हुआ है—भविष्य का डर, असफलता का डर, आलोचना का डर। लेकिन ईश्वर का प्रेम हमें आश्वासन देता है: तू मेरा है, तुझे किसी बात से डरने की ज़रूरत नहीं।

आज के सुसमाचार में हम देखते हैं कि येसु अपने शिष्यों के पास झील के पानी पर चलते हुए आते हैं। शिष्य संघर्ष कर रहे थे, नाव हवा के विरुद्ध थी। वे भयभीत हो गए। जीवन में भी हम कई बार ऐसी ही कठिनाइयों में फँस जाते हैं—आर्थिक संकट, पारिवारिक कलह, बीमारियाँ या मानसिक तनाव। क्योंकि सब-के-सब उन्हें देख कर घबरा गए। येसु ने तुरन्त उनसे कहा, “ढ़ारस रखो, मैं ही हूँ। डरो मत।” आज भी येसु हमारे जीवन की नाव में आना चाहते हैं, हमारे संघर्षों में हमारे साथ खड़े होना चाहते हैं। हम अक्सर अपनी मेहनत और सामर्थ्य पर भरोसा करते हैं, लेकिन जब हम उसकी उपस्थिति को पहचानते हैं, तो जीवन के तूफान शांत हो जाते हैं।

हम प्रेम करना सिखे। समाज में नफ़रत और स्वार्थ बढ़ रहे हैं। हमें प्रेम से उत्तर देना है। ईश्वर का प्रेम हमारे भीतर है यही हमारी ताक़त है। जब समस्याएँ आएँ, तो हमें याद रखना चाहिये कि वह हमारे साथ है। इस प्रकार हम अपने प्रति ईश्वर का प्रेम को जानेगे और उस में विश्वास करते रहे। ईश्वर प्रेम है और जो प्रेम में दृढ़ रहता है, वह ईश्वर में निवास करता है और ईश्वर उस में। (1 योहन 4:16) और जो अपने जीवन की नाव में येसु को आने देता है, उसके लिए हर तूफान शांति में बदल सकता है।

This passage teaches us the depth of God’s love. Saint John says that if God has loved us in this way, we too should love one another. There is no fear in love. In today’s world, where people are becoming self-centred, selfish, and insecure, this message reminds us that true security is not in wealth or power, but in love. When we live in love—serving others, forgiving others—our fears diminish and peace comes.

Nowadays, people are surrounded by many fears—the fear of the future, the fear of failure, the fear of criticism. But God’s love reassures us: You are mine; you need not fear anything.

In today’s Gospel, we see Jesus walking on the water toward His disciples. The disciples were struggling; the boat was against the wind. They were frightened. Similarly, in life, we often face such difficulties—financial crises, family conflicts, illnesses, or mental stress. Seeing the storm, the disciples were terrified. Jesus immediately said to them: “Take heart; it is I; do not be afraid.” (Mk. 6:50) Even today, Jesus wants to come into the boat of our lives and stand with us in our struggles. We often rely on our own effort and strength, but when we recognize His presence, the storms of life calm down.

Live in love. Hatred and selfishness are growing in society. We must respond with love. Do not live in fear. God’s love dwells within us—that is our true strength. Trust Jesus in difficulties. When challenges come, remember that He is with us, and for Him, nothing is impossible. Spread hope and faith in society. People are discouraged—be a messenger of love. In this way, we come to know God’s love for us and believe in it. “God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.” (1 John 4:16) And whoever allows Jesus into the boat of their life, every storm can be transformed into peace.
