आज कलीसिया परम पवित्र नाम येसु का पर्व मनाती है। वचन कहता है: “किसी दूसरे व्यक्ति द्वारा मुक्ति नहीं मिल सकती; क्योंकि समस्त संसार में ईसा नाम के सिवा मनुष्यों को कोई दूसरा नाम नहीं दिया गया है, जिसके द्वारा हमें मुक्ति मिल सकती है।” (प्रेरित चरित 4:12)।

येसु का नाम केवल ध्वनि या शब्द नहीं है, बल्कि उसमें ईश्वर की उपस्थिति, शक्ति और उद्धार निहित है। सुसमाचार में योहन बपतिस्ता येसु की ओर इशारा करते हुए कहते हैं, "देखो—ईश्वर का मेमना, जो संसार का पाप हरता है" (योहन 1:29)। जब हम येसु के नाम को पुकारते हैं, तो हम दया, चंगाई और शक्ति को पुकारते हैं।

अक्सर हम उनके नाम को हल्के में लेते हैं या व्यर्थ बोलते हैं। पर आज कलीसिया हमें आमंत्रित करती है कि हम उनके नाम की पवित्रता और शक्ति को फिर से खोजें। जब हम प्रार्थना में "येसु" कहते हैं, तो हम उनकी शांति को आमंत्रित करते हैं। जब संघर्ष में उन्हें पुकारते हैं, तो उनकी शक्ति पाते हैं। जैसा संत पौलुस कहते हैं, “जिससे ईसा का नाम सुन कर आकाश, पृथ्वी तथा अधोलोक के सब निवासी घुटने टेकें” (फ़िलिप्पियों 2:10)। आइए इस वर्ष की शुरुआत हम उनके नाम को आदर और प्रेम से अपने हृदय, वचनों और कर्मों में धारण करके करें।

The Church today celebrates the Most Holy Name of Jesus. The Word of God says, “There is no other name under heaven given among men by whom we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). The name of Jesus is not just a sound or a word; it carries the presence, power, and salvation of God Himself.

In the Gospel, John the Baptist points out Jesus and says, “Here is the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world” (John 1:29). To call on the name of Jesus is to call on mercy, healing, and strength. Too often in our lives, we take His name casually, or even in vain. But today the Church invites us to rediscover the holiness and power in His name.

When we whisper “Jesus” in prayer, we invite His peace. When we cry out “Jesus” in struggle, we receive His strength. As St. Paul says, “At the name of Jesus every knee should bend” (Philippians 2:10). Let us begin this year by reverencing His name and carrying it in our hearts, lips, and actions.
