“सच्चे परिवार का प्यार: सेवा और दया का मतलब”

एक छोटे से गाँव में एक परिवार ने एक घायल पक्षी पाया। बच्चे उसे पालने के लिए चाहते थे, पर माता-पिता ने उन्हें सिखाया कि प्यार का मतलब है देखभाल करना, उसे पोषण देना और फिर उसे वापस उसकी आज़ादी देना। इस परिवार ने सीखा कि सच्चा प्यार स्वार्थहीन सेवा और दूसरों को मुक्त करने का नाम है।

आज के पाठ भी यही सीख देते हैं। पहला पाठ (लेवी ग्रन्थ 19:1-2, 11-18) में ईश्वर हमें पवित्र होने और अपने पड़ोसी से वैसा ही प्रेम करने का आदेश देते हैं जैसा हम खुद से करते हैं—चोरी, झूठ और चोट से बचना। पुराने विधान में बार-बार बताया गया है कि प्रेम और न्याय साथ-साथ चलते हैं।

सुसमाचार (मत्ती 25:31-46) में येसु कहते हैं कि अंतिम दिन वे हमें इस आधार पर आंकेंगे कि हमने भूखे, प्यासे, अजनबी, बीमार और कैदियों की कैसे सेवा की। परिवारों के लिए यह जीवन-शैली है कि वे अपने सदस्यों और पड़ोसियों को ईश्वर के परिवार का हिस्सा समझें। मीका 6:8 हमें याद दिलाता है: “मनुष्य! तुम को बताया गया है कि उचित क्या है और प्रभु तुम से क्या चाहता है। यह इतना ही है- न्यायपूर्ण व्यवहार, कोमल भक्ति और ईश्वर के सामने विनयपूर्ण आचरण।” परिवारों के लिए इसका मतलब है कि घर और समाज दोनों में दया, माफ करना और सेवा सिखाएं।

आइए, यह कहानी और शिक्षाएँ हर परिवार को प्रेरित करें कि वे प्रेम को कर्म में जीवित रखें और अपने घर एवं समुदाय को पवित्रता और आनंद का स्थान बनाएं।

“Living Love: The Heart of True Family”

There once was a small village where a family found a hurt bird. The children wanted to keep it, but the parents taught them to care gently, feed it well, and eventually release it back to the wild. The family learned that true love is about selfless care and helping others to be free and whole.

Today’s readings teach the same lesson to families everywhere. In the first reading (Leviticus 19:1–2, 11–18), God commands us to be holy by loving our neighbours as ourselves by not stealing, lying, or hurting anyone. The Old Testament teaches again and again that love and justice are inseparable.

In the Gospel (Matthew 25:31–46), Jesus tells us that on the final day, He will judge us by how we treated “the least of these,” like the hungry, thirsty, strangers, sick, and imprisoned. Families are called to live these values daily, seeing every member and neighbour as part of God’s family. Micah 6:8 reminds us: “to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God.” For families, this means teaching kindness, forgiveness, and service—not only inside the home but also in the community.

Let this story and teachings inspire every family to live love in action, making their homes and neighbourhoods places of true holiness and joy.
