“हमारे अंदर की लड़ाई: प्रलोभन पर विजय और जीवन का चुनाव”

आज के पाठ खासकर पीढ़ी-जेड के युवाओं और बच्चों के लिए हैं, जो एक ऐसे दुनिया में चुनौतियों और प्रलोभनों का सामना करते हैं। पहला पाठ (उत्पत्ति 2:7-9; 3:1-7) हमें आदम और हेवा की कहानी बताता है, जिन्हें ईश्वर ने बड़ी सौगातों से बनाया, लेकिन उन्होंने प्रलोभन में आकर उसकी आज्ञा तोड़ी। उनके इस चुने हुए फैसले के कारण पाप दुनिया में आया और उसके प्रभाव सभी मानवों तक पहुँचे।

दूसरा पाठ (रोमियों 5:12-19) याद दिलाता है कि जैसे पाप एक मनुष्य के कारण आया, वैसे ही जीवन और कृपा एक दूसरे मनुष्य के कारण, वह हैं येसु मसीह। जहाँ पाप बढ़ा, वहाँ कृपा उससे भी ज़्यादा बढ़ी, जो हमें आशा और मुक्ति देती है। सुसमाचार (मत्ती 4:1-11) में, येसु निर्जन प्रदेश में चारों ओर प्रलोभनों का सामना करते हैं, लेकिन हर बार वे ईश्वर के वचन और विश्वास के सहारे उन्हें परास्त कर देते हैं। यह हमें सिखाता है कि युवाओं को आज के समय में भी विश्वास, धर्मग्रंथ, और ईश्वर पर भरोसा रखकर प्रलोभनों और चुनौतियों को जीतना चाहिए।

पुराने विधान में भी यह प्रेरणा मिलती है। स्तोत्र ग्रन्थ 119:11 कहती है, “तेरी शिक्षा मेरी सदा बनी रहने वाली विरासत है, इस में मेरा हृदय रमता है।” और सूक्ति ग्रंथ 3:5-6 हमें पूरा हृदय से ईश्वर पर भरोसा करने और अपने समझ पर निर्भर न रहने की शिक्षा देते हैं, खासकर जब कठिन फैसलों का सामना हो।

पीढ़ी-जेड आज कई दबावों से गुजर रही है—सोशल मीडिया, साथियों का दबाव, पहचान की जद्दोजहद—लेकिन ये पाठ हमें जीवन चुनने, प्रलोभन से लड़ने, और ईश्वर के वचन और कृपा के सहारे चलने का आह्वान करते हैं। आइए याद रखें कि प्रलोभन सच में हैं, लेकिन ईश्वर की मदद से विजय और सच्चा जीवन संभव है।

“The Battle Within: Choosing Life Over Temptation”

Today’s readings speak directly to the struggles faced by young people and children of Generation Z as they navigate a world full of temptations and challenges. The first reading (Genesis 2:7–9; 3:1–7) tells the story of the first humans, Adam and Eve, who were created richly blessed but faced temptation and disobeyed God. Their choice brought consequences not only for themselves but for all humanity, introducing sin into the world.

The second reading (Romans 5:12–19) reminds us that though sin entered the world through one man, God’s grace and life come through another, that is Jesus Christ. Where sin increased, grace increased even more, offering hope and redemption. In the Gospel (Matthew 4:1–11), Jesus faces temptation in the wilderness but resists every attempt by Satan to lead Him astray. His victory teaches young people today the power of faith, scripture, and trust in God to overcome challenges and temptations.

The Old Testament encourages us too. Psalm 119:11 says, “I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.” And Proverbs 3:5–6 exhorts us to trust God with all our heart and not lean on our own understanding, especially in difficult choices.

Generation Z faces many pressures like social media, peer pressure, identity struggles, and uncertainty about the future, but these readings call us to choose life, resist temptation, and hold fast to God’s word and grace. Let this be a reminder that though temptation is real, with God’s help, victory and true life are possible.
