“चंगाई और नवीनीकरण: सभी के लिए ईश्वर का निमंत्रण”

आज के पाठ हमें हमारे समुदाय के आम लोगों के लिए आशा का संदेश देते हैं - ईश्वर की ओर से मिलती चंगाई और नवीनीकरण का निमंत्रण। पहले पाठ (इसायाह 58:9b-14) में कहा गया है कि जब हम सत्य और न्याय के साथ जीवन बिताते हैं, जरूरतमंदों की मदद करते हैं, तब ईश्वर हमें पुनःस्थापित करेंगे। वे हमें लगातार मार्गदर्शन देंगे और सूखी जगहों में भी हमें तृप्त करेंगे।

सुसमाचार (लूकस 5:27-32) में येसु ने लेवी नामक नाकेदार को बुलाया, यह दिखाते हुए कि वे रोगियों को स्वास्थ्य देने आए हैं, न कि निरोगियों को। इससे पता चलता है कि चाहे हमारा अतीत कैसा भी हो, येसु हर किसी को दया और प्रेम से भरी नई ज़िंदगी के लिए आमंत्रित करते हैं। पुराने नियम में भी यही वादे मिलते हैं। स्तोत्र ग्रन्थ 147:3 कहती है, “वह दुःखियों को दिलासा देता है और उनके घावों पर पट्टी बाँधता है।” और यिरमियाह 31:25 में वादा है, “प्रत्येक दुर्बल मनुष्य को शक्ति दूँगा।”

हमारे समुदाय के लिए यह समझना ज़रूरी है कि ईश्वर लगातार हमारे दिलों और समुदायों को नया करने का प्रस्ताव रखते हैं। यह दया और करुणा के साथ जीने, और खासकर उन लोगों को स्वीकार करने का निमंत्रण है, जो खोए या टूटे हुए महसूस करते हैं।

आइए, हम येसु के इस निमंत्रण को स्वीकार करें, सच्चे मन से पश्चाताप करें, और अपने समुदाय में तथा आसपास की जगहों पर चंगाई और आशा के संदेशवाहक बनें।

“Healing and Renewal: God’s Invitation to All”

Today’s readings offer a hopeful message for common people in the parish—an invitation from God to healing and renewal. The first reading (Isaiah 58:9b–14) encourages us that when we live in truth and justice, helping those in need, God promises restoration. He will guide us continually and satisfy us even in parched places.

In the Gospel (Luke 5:27–32), Jesus calls Levi, a tax collector, to follow Him, showing that He comes to heal the sick, not the healthy. This reminds us that no matter our past or mistakes, Jesus invites everyone to a new life filled with mercy and love. The Old Testament is filled with similar promises. Psalm 147:3 says, “God heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds.” And Jeremiah 31:25 promises, “I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.”

For us in the parish, this means recognizing God’s constant offer to renew our hearts and communities. It is a call to live with kindness and compassion, opening our arms to all, especially those who feel lost or broken.

Let us accept Jesus’ invitation, seek true repentance, and become agents of healing and hope in our parish and beyond.
