येसु हमें याद दिलाते हैं कि हत्या केवल बाहरी कार्य नहीं है, वह क्रोध और अपमान जैसे भावों से दिल में ही शुरू हो जाती है। वे हमसे एक अद्भुत प्रेम की ओर बुलाते हैं—ऐसा प्रेम जो दाऊद के शोक को दर्शाता है। आइए, हम अपने हृदय की जांच करें: क्या हम शत्रुओं के पतन में आनंदित होते हैं या दाऊद की तरह उनके लिए भी दया महसूस करते हैं?

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, David’s reaction to Absalom’s death reflects the deep pain of a father whose heart is still tender. While others sought justice, David longed for reconciliation.

In the same way, Jesus teaches us that righteousness is not just about keeping rules, but about cultivating a heart that seeks reconciliation over revenge. Too often, like Joab, we are quick to do what seems just but slow to consider what is merciful.

Jesus reminds us that murder begins in the heart with anger and contempt. He is calling us to a radical love that mirrors the Father's heart toward all of us. Let us examine our hearts: Do we rejoice in the fall of our enemies, or do we weep like David? The true measure of righteousness is who we are becoming within.
