आज का पहला पाठ हमें याद दिलाता है कि ईश्वर को जानना केवल शब्दों से नहीं बल्कि आज्ञाकारिता से है। ईश्वर से प्रेम करना का अर्थ है उसकी आज्ञाओं को निष्ठा से मानना। संत योहन कहते हैं कि जो कहते हैं कि वे ईश्वर को जानते हैं लेकिन उसका वचन नहीं मानते, वे झूठे हैं। यह हमें दृढ़ता से याद दिलाता है कि विश्वास केवल बोला ही नहीं बल्कि जिया भी जाना चाहिए।

सुसमाचार में हम भविष्यवक्त्री अन्ना को देखते हैं जो उपवास और प्रार्थना में जीवन बिताती थीं और उद्धारकर्ता की प्रतीक्षा करती थीं। जब उन्होंने मंदिर में शिशु येसु को देखा, तो उनका हृदय आनन्द से भर गया। उन्होंने उसमें ईश्वर की प्रतिज्ञाओं की पूर्ति को पहचाना। अन्ना की तरह हमें भी विश्वास और आशा में जीना है और भरोसा रखना है कि ईश्वर की प्रतिज्ञाएँ कभी असफल नहीं होतीं।

हमारे जीवन में प्रार्थना और निष्ठा हमें तैयार करती हैं कि हम येसु को पहचानें जब वह हमारे पास छोटे-छोटे रूपों में आता है। ईश्वर के वचन को मानना बोझ नहीं बल्कि पूर्ण प्रेम का मार्ग है। आज का चिंतन हमें आमंत्रित करता है कि हम देखें: क्या मैं प्रतिदिन उसके वचन को कर्म, वचन और विचारों में मानता हूँ? यदि हाँ, तो सचमुच ईश्वर का प्रेम हम में परिपूर्ण हो रहा है।

The first reading today reminds us that knowing God is not just about words but about obedience. To love God means to keep His commandments faithfully. St. John tells us that those who say they know God but do not follow His word are liars. This is a strong reminder that faith must be lived, not only spoken.

The Gospel shows us Anna the prophetess, who spent her life in prayer and fasting, waiting for the Redeemer. Her joy overflowed when she saw the child Jesus in the temple. She recognized in Him the fulfillment of God’s promises. Like Anna, we are called to live in hope and faith, trusting that God’s promises never fail.

In our lives, prayer and faithfulness make us ready to recognize Jesus when He comes to us in small ways. Keeping God’s word is not a burden but the path of perfect love. Today’s reflection invites us to examine: Do I keep His word daily in action, speech, and thought? If yes, then the love of God is truly being perfected in us.
