येसु ख्रीस्त में प्रिये भाइयो और बहनों, आज हम प्रभु का जन्मोत्सव मना रहे हैं, वह क्षण जब ईश्वर ने मनुष्य का रूप धारण किया और प्रभु येसु के रूप में हमारे बीच आकर निवास किया, और स्वर्ग को पृथ्वी के निकट लाया। आज के पहले पाठ में नबी इसायाह घोषणा करते हैं, “कितने मनोहर हैं उन लोगों के चरण, जो शुभ समाचार सुनाते हैं” जो शांति, मुक्ति और ईश्वर के राज्य का संदेश लाते हैं। यह भविष्यवाणी प्रभु येसु के जन्म में पूर्ण रूप से पूरी हुई।

सुसमाचार में योहन हमें क्रिसमस का गहरा सत्य बताता है: आदि में शब्द था, शब्द ईश्वर के साथ था और शब्द ही ईश्वर था… शब्द ने शरीर धारण कर हमारे बीच निवास किया। यही रहस्य है, शाश्वत वचन जो इस संसार में प्रवेश करता है, हमारे अंधकार में प्रकाश लाता है, हमें ईश्वर से मेल कराता है और हमें परिपूर्ण जीवन प्रदान करता है।

जैसे चरवाहे लूकस 2:15–20 में आनन्दपूर्वक दौड़कर गए और शुभ समाचार साझा किया, वैसे ही हम भी बुलाए गए हैं कि हम इस संसार में आशा, शांति और आनन्द के दूत बनें। येसु का प्रकाश हमारे कार्यों के माध्यम से चमके, हम क्षमा करें, ज़रूरतमंदों की सहायता करें, प्रेम से सत्य बोलें और एक परिवार की तरह एकता में जीयें। क्रिसमस केवल प्रभु येसु के जन्म को स्मरण करने का दिन नहीं है, बल्कि प्रतिदिन अपने हृदय में उन्हें जन्म लेने देने का अवसर है ताकि हमारे जीवन के माध्यम से अन्य लोग भी इम्मानुएल, "ईश्वर हमारे साथ है" का अनुभव कर सकें।

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, today we celebrate the Nativity of the Lord—the moment when God took on human flesh and came to dwell among us in Jesus Christ, bringing heaven close to earth. In the first reading of today, the prophet Isaiah proclaims, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news", announcing peace, salvation, and the reign of God, a message perfectly fulfilled in the birth of Christ.

In the Gospel, John reveals the deepest truth of Christmas: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… The Word became flesh and dwelt among us". This is the mystery, the eternal Word entering into the world to shine light into our darkness, to reconcile us to God, and to offer us life in abundance.

Just as the shepherds in Luke 2:15–20 hurried to see and share the good news, we too are called to be messengers of hope, peace, and joy into the world. Let the light of Christ shine through our actions, forgiving others, helping the needy, speaking truth with love, and living in unity as one family of God. Christmas is not only about remembering Christ’s birth, but about letting Him be born in our hearts daily so that through us, others may encounter Emmanuel, God with us.
