येसु ख्रीस्त में प्रिये भाइयो और बहनों, पहले पाठ में नबी यिरमियाह ईश्वर की उस प्रतिज्ञा की घोषणा करते हैं जब दाऊद की वंशावली से एक धर्मी राजा उत्पन्न होगा। वह न्याय और धर्म के साथ राज्य करेगा, अपने लोगों को मुक्ति देगा और शांति प्रदान करेगा। यह वचन वास्तव में प्रभु येसु मसीह के बारे में है। ईश्वर ने पहले से ही अपने लोगों को आश्वस्त किया था कि वह उन्हें परित्याग नहीं करेगा, बल्कि एक मुक्तिदाता देगा।

सुसमाचार में हम देखते हैं कि ईश्वर की प्रतिज्ञा का पूरा होना प्रारंभ होता है। माता मरियम, जो पवित्र आत्मा द्वारा गर्भवती होती हैं, उन्हें यूसुफ जैसे धर्मी और आज्ञाकारी पति का सहारा मिलता है। यूसुफ कठिन परिस्थिति में पड़ने के बावजूद ईश्वर के दूत के वचन पर विश्वास करके मरियम को पत्नी के रूप में स्वीकार करता है। इस प्रकार वह ईश्वर की योजना के सहयोगी बनता है। प्रभु का नाम येसु रखा जाता है, जिसका अर्थ है ईश्वर उद्धार करता है।

आज हमारे जीवन में भी अनेक कठिनाइयाँ और अनिश्चितताएँ आती हैं। कभी–कभी भविष्य धुँधला लगता है। लेकिन हमें यह स्मरण रखना चाहिए कि ईश्वर अपने वचनों के प्रति सदा विश्वासयोग्य है। हमें यूसुफ की तरह विश्वास और आज्ञाकारिता में बने रहना है। जब हम ईश्वर की योजना को स्वीकार करते हैं, तब वही हमें सच्चा उद्धार और शांति प्रदान करता है।

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, In the first reading, the prophet Jeremiah proclaims God’s promise that a righteous king will arise from the lineage of David. He will reign with justice and righteousness, deliver his people, and grant peace. This prophecy is truly about our Lord Jesus Christ. God had already assured His people that He would not abandon them but would send a Redeemer.

In the Gospel, we see the beginning of the fulfilment of God’s promise. Mary, who is conceived by the Holy Spirit, is supported by Joseph a righteous and obedient man. Despite facing a difficult situation, Joseph believes the word of the angel of God and accepts Mary as his wife. In doing so, he becomes a co-worker in God’s plan. The Lord is named Jesus, which means God saves.

Even in our lives today, we face many difficulties and uncertainties. Sometimes the future seems unclear. But we must remember that God is always faithful to His promises. Like Joseph, we are called to remain in faith and obedience. When we accept God’s plan, He grants us true salvation and peace.
