प्रिय मित्रों, हमारे जीवन में कभी-कभी हम सोचते हैं कि मसीह के आने से पहले एलिय्याह आएगा, जैसा कि शास्त्रियों ने सिखाया था। लेकिन येसु हमें बताते हैं कि ईश्वर के काम करने के तरीके अक्सर हमारी सोच से अलग और आश्चर्यजनक होते हैं।

पुराने विधान में कई उदाहरण हैं जहाँ ईश्वर ने कमजोर और सामान्य दिखने वाले लोगों के माध्यम से बड़े काम किए। युसुफ को गुलामी में बेचा गया, पर ईश्वर ने उसके द्वारा कई लोगों को बचाया। मूसा, जो बोलने में कमजोर थे, उन्होंने ईश्वर की शक्ति से इस्राएलियों को मिस्र से मुक्त कराया। छोटे चरवाहे दाऊद ने विशाल गोलयत को पराजित किया। पौलुस, जो पहले ईसाइयों का विरोधी था, बाद में मसीह का महान संदेशवाहक बना।

इसी प्रकार लोगों ने सोचा था कि मसीह शक्तिशाली होकर आएगा, रोमियों को हरा कर धरती पर राज करेगा। पर उन्होंने ईश्वर की योजना को समझा नहीं और येसु को क्रूस पर चढ़ा दिया। वे समझ नहीं पाए कि सच्ची जीत पुनरुत्थान में है। येसु ने हमें बताया कि जो उनके मांस और रक्त को ग्रहण करता है, वह अनंत जीवन पाएगा। इसका मतलब है कि उद्धार बाहरी शक्ति से नहीं, बल्कि मसीह के साथ आध्यात्मिक एकता से है।

आज हम विचार करें:
· क्या हम कभी ईश्वर की योजना को गलत समझते हैं?

हमें उनसे मार्गदर्शन मांगना चाहिए ताकि हम उनके रास्ते पर चल सकें। प्रभु हमारे दिल खोलें और हमें उनके करीब ले जाएं।

Dear Friends, the disciples expected Elijah to return literally before the coming of the Messiah, as the scribes had taught. But Jesus shows us that God’s ways often unfold in unexpected ways.

Throughout the Old Testament, we see how God works through the unlikely and the weak. Joseph was sold into slavery and imprisoned, yet God used him to save many lives (Genesis 37). Moses, who struggled with speech, led the Israelites out of Egypt through God’s power. David, a small shepherd boy, defeated the giant Goliath (1 Samuel 17). Paul, once a fierce persecutor of Christians, became a great messenger of Christ.

Similarly, many expected the Messiah to come with great power, overthrow the Romans, and establish an earthly kingdom. But they misunderstood God’s plan and crucified Jesus. They thought they had won, but God raised Jesus, revealing His true plan of salvation and the establishment of a spiritual kingdom.

Jesus says in John 6:54, “Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up on the last day.” This shows us that salvation is not about earthly power, but about spiritual union with Christ.

Let us reflect: do I sometimes misunderstand God’s plan? Let us seek His guidance and wisdom, so we can better understand His ways and follow Him faithfully. May the Lord open our hearts to His divine plan and lead us closer to Him every day.
