प्रिय भाइयों और बहनों, जीवन में हम अक्सर मुश्किलों का सामना करते हैं और कभी-कभी दूसरों या ईश्वर को दोष देते हैं कि उन्होंने हमारी प्रार्थनाओं का जवाब नहीं दिया। लेकिन आज के पाठ हमें याद दिलाते हैं कि ईश्वर हमेशा दयालु होते हैं और हमारी ज़रूरतों को सुनते हैं।

सुसमाचार में, हम देखते हैं कि येसु लोगों के दुखों को देखकर बहुत प्रभावित हुए। उन्होंने न केवल उनकी मदद की और उन्हें ठीक किया, बल्कि बारह शिष्यों को भेजा ताकि वे भी लोगों को उपचार, आशा और करुणा प्रदान करें। हमें भी उनके जैसे दूसरों के प्रति संवेदनशील, दयालु और उदार बनना चाहिए।

पहले पाठ में नबी इसायाह आशा का संदेश देते हैं। यह हमें विश्वास दिलाता है कि ईश्वर हमारी पुकार सुनते हैं और अपनी कृपा और दया से हमें जवाब देंगे। इसायाह 30:19 में लिखा है, “वह तुम्हारी पुकार की आवाज़ सुनते ही अनुग्रह दिखाएगा; जब वह इसे सुनेगा, तो तुम्हें उत्तर देगा।” यह याद दिलाता है कि ईश्वर हमेशा हमारे साथ हैं और अपने समय पर मदद करेंगे।

आज हम संत निकोलस को भी याद करते हैं, जो उदारता और दया के प्रतीक थे। उनकी ज़िन्दगी ने सांता क्लॉज को जन्म दिया, जो बिना किसी शर्त के उपहार देता है। उसी तरह, जब हम दूसरों की मदद करते हैं, तो हमें प्रेम के साथ और बिना किसी स्वार्थ के करना चाहिए। जैसा कि अस्सीसी के संत फ्रांसिस ने कहा था, “देने में ही पाने की खुशी है।” हम सभी इस दानी भावना से प्रेरित हों।

My dear brothers and sisters, In life, we often face difficulties and, at times, may find ourselves blaming others or even God for not answering our prayers. However, today's readings remind us that God is always compassionate and attentive to our needs.

In the Gospel, we see Jesus deeply moved by the suffering of the people. Not only does He respond with care and healing, but He also appoints the twelve disciples and sends them to do the same for bringing healing, hope, and compassion to others. We too are called to follow this example: to be sensitive, caring, and generous to those around us.

The first reading from Isaiah offers a message of hope. It assures us that God hears our cries and will respond with grace and mercy. Isaiah 30:19 says, “He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry; when He hears it, He will answer you.” This is a powerful reminder that God is present and will act in His time.

Today, we also remember St. Nicholas, a model of generosity and mercy. His life inspired the figure of Santa Claus who is known for giving gifts unconditionally. In the same way, when we help others, we are invited to do so with love, without seeking recognition or acting with prejudice. As St. Francis of Assisi prayed, “For it is in giving that we receive.” May we be inspired to live with this spirit of giving.
