प्रिय भाइयों और बहनों, पहला पाठ (इसायाह 29:17–24) हमें आशा और पुनरुत्थान का संदेश देता है। नबी कहते हैं कि थोड़े ही समय बाद लेबानोन फलवाटिका में बदल जाएगा और फलवाटिका जंगल बन जायेगी, उस दिन बहरे ग्रंथ का पाठ सुनेंगे और अंधे देखेंगे। क्योंकि उनकी आँखों से धुँधलापन और अंधकार दूर हो जायेगा, दीन हीन प्रभु में आनंद मनायेंगे और जो सबसे अधिक दरिद्र हैं वे इस्राएल के परमपावन ईश्वर की कृपा से उल्लासित हो उठेंगे। यह हमें स्मरण दिलाता है कि ईश्वर अन्याय और अंधकार में नहीं छोड़ता, बल्कि हर टूटे और दीन हृदय को अपनी ज्योति से भर देता है। प्रभु के राज्य में वास्तविक न्याय और करुणा का राज्य स्थापित होता है।

आज के सुसमाचार मत्ती 9:27–31 में हम देखते हैं कि दो अंधे विश्वास और दृढ़ता के साथ येसु के पास आए और पुकारते रहे – “हे दाऊद के पुत्र, हम पर दया कीजिए!” पद 28 में येसु ने उनसे पूछा – “क्या तुम्हें विश्वास है कि मैं यह कर सकता हूँ?” उन्होंने कहा “जी हाँ प्रभु,” येसु ने उनकी आँखों का स्पर्श किया और उनकी आँखें अच्छी हो गयीं। यह घटना हमें सिखाती है कि सच्चा विश्वास केवल शब्दों में नहीं, बल्कि दृढ़ भरोसे और समर्पण में प्रकट होता है। प्रभु हमारे जीवन के अंधकार को तभी मिटाते हैं जब हम विश्वास के साथ उनके पास आते हैं। अतः आज हम सबको यह आमंत्रण है कि हम अपने जीवन की आँखें विश्वास द्वारा खोलें और प्रभु की ज्योति में चलें।

My dear brothers and sisters, the first reading (Isaiah 29:17–24) gives us a message of hope and restoration. The prophet announces that soon the desert will become fertile, the deaf will hear, the blind will see, and the humble will rejoice in the Lord. The proud and violent will be put to shame, while the poor and the meek will find comfort in God. This is a promise that God never abandons His people in darkness but brings justice, healing, and new life to those who trust in Him.

In today’s Gospel (Matthew 9:27–31), two blind men cry out with deep faith: “Son of David, have mercy on us!” Jesus tests their faith by asking, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” When they respond, “Yes, Lord,” Jesus touches their eyes and says, “According to your faith let it be done to you.” Their eyes were opened, and their lives were transformed. This Gospel reminds us that true faith is not just words but trustful surrender to God’s power. When we approach Jesus with sincere faith, He opens our eyes, heals our wounds, and fills us with His light. Today, we too are invited to renew our faith and to walk in the light of Christ with confidence and joy.
