प्रिय भाइयों और बहनों, आज का पहला पाठ (इसायाह 26:1–6) हमें यह आश्वासन देता है कि हमारा ईश्वर हमारा दृढ़ गढ़ और उद्धार है। वह एक ऐसा नगर है जिसकी नींव न्याय और विश्वास पर रखी गई है। जो उसके द्वार से प्रवेश करते हैं, वे शांति और सुरक्षा पाते हैं। यही संदेश हमें प्रेरित करता है कि हम अपने जीवन को ईश्वर पर दृढ़ विश्वास के साथ खड़ा करें। जब मनुष्य घमंड और आत्मनिर्भरता में चलता है, तो उसकी नींव डगमगाती है। लेकिन जो प्रभु पर भरोसा करता है, उसका जीवन अटूट और सुरक्षित बना रहता है।

इसी संदेश को आज का सुसमाचार (मत्ती 7:21, 24–27) और गहरा करता है। येसु कहते हैं कि केवल “प्रभु, प्रभु” कह कर पुकारते हैं, उन में सब के सब स्वर्ग राज्य में प्रवेश नहीं करेंगे। जो मेरे पिता की इच्छा पूरी करता है, वहीं स्वर्गराज्य में प्रवेश करेगा। येसु उस व्यक्ति की तुलना समझदार मनुष्य से करते हैं जिसने अपना घर चट्टान पर बनाया। आँधी-पानी आने पर भी वह घर नहीं गिरा। लेकिन मूर्ख व्यक्ति जिसने अपना घर रेत पर बनाया, वह विपत्ति के समय ढह गया। यह हमें सिखाता है कि हमारी आस्था केवल शब्दों में न हो, बल्कि आज्ञापालन और कर्मों में दिखाई दे। प्रभु हमें बुलाते हैं कि हम अपनी ज़िंदगी को विश्वास और आज्ञाकारिता की चट्टान पर बनाकर स्थिर और फलदायी ख्रीस्तीय जीवन जीएँ।

My dear brothers and sisters, the first reading (Isaiah 26:1–6) gives us a beautiful image of God as our strong fortress and eternal salvation. The prophet tells us that those who trust in the Lord and enter through His gates will find peace and security. This reminds us that our lives must be firmly rooted in faith and trust in God, not in pride or self-reliance. When we walk humbly with the Lord, our foundation remains unshakable even amidst trials and storms.

The Gospel (Matthew 7:21, 24–27) strengthens this teaching. Jesus clearly says that not everyone who cries “Lord, Lord” will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but only the one who does the will of the Father. He compares such a person to a wise man who built his house on rock, which stood firm against rain, floods, and winds. In contrast, the foolish man built his house on sand, and it collapsed. This powerful message invites us to build our Christian life on the rock of obedience, faith, and love. May we not only profess our faith with words but also live it out daily through actions, so that our life becomes a firm witness of Christ’s presence in the world.
