“सच्ची बुद्धि और आत्मिक तैयारी”
आज के पाठ हमें सिखाते हैं कि सच्ची बुद्धि संसार की चतुराई में नहीं, बल्कि मसीह के क्रूस और ईश्वर की योजना पर विश्वास करने में है। संत पौलुस बताते हैं कि क्रूस का संदेश संसार की दृष्टि में मूर्खता प्रतीत हो सकता है, किन्तु विश्वास करने वालों के लिए वही ईश्वर की सामर्थ्य और बुद्धि है। ईश्वर की बुद्धि विनम्रता, प्रेम और आत्म-बलिदान में प्रकट होती है, न कि सांसारिक प्रतिष्ठा और शक्ति में।
सुसमाचार में प्रभु येसु दस कुँवारियों का दृष्टांत सुनाकर हमें सदैव तैयार रहने की शिक्षा देते हैं। समझदार कुँवारियों ने अपने दीपकों के साथ अतिरिक्त तेल भी रखा, जबकि नासमझ कुँवारियाँ तैयारी के अभाव में अवसर खो बैठीं। यह तेल हमारे जीवन की प्रार्थना, विश्वास, पवित्रता और प्रेमपूर्ण सेवा का प्रतीक है। विशेषकर आज, जब हम संत ऑगस्टीन की स्मृति मनाते हैं, उनका परिवर्तित जीवन हमें याद दिलाता है कि ईश्वर की सच्ची बुद्धि को स्वीकार करने वाला हृदय ही प्रभु के आगमन के लिए सदैव तैयार रहता है। आइए, हम अपने आत्मिक दीपकों को विश्वास और अनुग्रह के तेल से भरें, ताकि जब प्रभु आएँ, तो हम आनंदपूर्वक उनके साथ अनन्त भोज में प्रवेश कर सकें।
“True Wisdom and Spiritual Readiness”
Today's readings teach us that true wisdom is found not in worldly cleverness but in embracing Christ and His Cross. St. Paul explains that the message of the Cross may appear foolish to the world, yet for those who believe it is the very power and wisdom of God. God's wisdom is revealed through humility, sacrificial love, and complete trust in His saving plan rather than through human strength or prestige.
In the Gospel, Jesus tells the parable of the ten virgins to remind us to remain spiritually prepared for His coming. The wise virgins kept extra oil for their lamps, while the foolish ones failed to prepare and missed the bridegroom's arrival. The oil symbolizes a life nourished by prayer, faith, holiness, and loving service. As we celebrate the Memorial of St. Augustine today, his remarkable conversion reminds us that true wisdom begins with opening our hearts to God's grace. May we remain vigilant, keeping our lamps burning brightly, so that when Christ comes, we may joyfully enter the eternal banquet with Him.
