“मसीह की नींव पर बना जीवन”
आज के पाठ हमें मसीह की महिमा और उनके प्रेरितों की आधारभूत भूमिका का गहरा संदेश देते हैं। प्रकाशित वाक्य के ग्रंथ में संत योहन नए येरुसालेम का दर्शन करते हैं, जिसकी दीवार की बारह नींवों पर मेमने के बारह प्रेरितों के नाम अंकित हैं। यह दर्शाता है कि प्रेरितों की गवाही और सेवा केवल इतिहास का भाग नहीं है, बल्कि ईश्वर की अनन्त योजना की नींव है। आज हम संत बार्थोलोमियुस (नथानाएल) प्रेरित का पर्व मनाते हैं, जिनका नाम भी उन बारह नींवों में अंकित है।
सुसमाचार में नथानाएल पहले संदेह करता है—"क्या नाज़रेत से भी कोई अच्छी वस्तु आ सकती है?" परन्तु जब वह येसु से मिलता है और अनुभव करता है कि प्रभु उसके हृदय को जानते हैं, तब उसका संदेह विश्वास में बदल जाता है। वह घोषणा करता है, "गुरुवर! आप ईश्वर के पुत्र हैं, आप इस्राएल के राजा हैं।" यही परिवर्तन प्रत्येक शिष्य की यात्रा है। प्रभु आज हमें भी बुलाते हैं कि हम उन्हें पहचानें, उनका अनुभव करें और उनके सुसमाचार के साक्षी बनें। प्रेरितों ने कलीसिया की नींव रखी; अब हमारी जिम्मेदारी है कि "जीवित पत्थरों" की तरह अपने जीवन को मसीह की अटल नींव पर निर्मित करें।
“Built Upon Christ, the True Foundation”
Today's readings reveal the glory of Christ and the foundational role of His Apostles. In the Book of Revelation, St. John sees the heavenly Jerusalem whose twelve foundation stones bear the names of the twelve Apostles of the Lamb. This reminds us that the Apostles' witness is not merely a historical memory but an essential part of God's eternal plan for His Church. Today, on the Feast of St. Bartholomew (Nathanael), we celebrate one of those chosen foundations upon which Christ built His Church.
In the Gospel, Nathanael begins with doubt, asking, "Can anything good come out of Nazareth?" Yet, after encountering Jesus and realizing that the Lord knows him personally, his doubt is transformed into a profound profession of faith: "Rabbi, You are the Son of God; You are the King of Israel." Jesus then promises him even greater revelations. Like Nathanael, we are called to move from doubt to faith, from curiosity to discipleship, and from receiving God's love to witnessing it before the world. The Apostles laid the foundation; we are called to become living stones, building our lives firmly upon Christ.
