“विश्वासयोग्य उत्तरदायित्व”
आज के सभी पाठ हमें यह सिखाते हैं कि सर्वोच्च अधिकार केवल ईश्वर का है, और वही अपनी बुद्धि तथा योजना के अनुसार लोगों को जिम्मेदारियाँ सौंपता है। इसायाह के ग्रंथ में शेबना, जो एक उच्च पद पर था, अपने घमंड और अधिकार के दुरुपयोग के कारण पद से हटा दिया जाता है। उसकी जगह एलियाकीम को चुनकर उसे "दाऊद के घर की कुंजी" सौंपी जाती है। यह कुंजी केवल अधिकार का नहीं, बल्कि विश्वास, उत्तरदायित्व और ईश्वर के प्रति निष्ठा का प्रतीक है। इसी प्रकार सुसमाचार में जब पेत्रुस विश्वासपूर्वक घोषणा करता है, "आप मसीह हैं, जीवन्त ईश्वर के पुत्र," तब प्रभु येसु उसे "स्वर्ग के राज्य की कुंजियाँ" सौंपते हैं। यह अधिकार उसकी व्यक्तिगत योग्यता के कारण नहीं, बल्कि उसकी आस्था और ईश्वर से प्राप्त प्रकाशन के कारण दिया जाता है।
रोमियों के पत्र में संत पौलुस ईश्वर की अथाह बुद्धि और ज्ञान की प्रशंसा करते हुए कहते हैं, "सब कुछ उसी से, उसी के द्वारा और उसी के लिए है।" यह हमें याद दिलाता है कि हमारे जीवन, हमारी सेवाएँ और हमारी जिम्मेदारियाँ अंततः ईश्वर की महिमा के लिए हैं। आज का वचन हमें आत्म-परीक्षण के लिए बुलाता है—क्या हम अपने अधिकार का उपयोग दूसरों की सेवा के लिए कर रहे हैं या अपने स्वार्थ के लिए? क्या हम पेत्रुस और एलियाकीम की तरह विश्वासयोग्य हैं, या शेबना की तरह घमंड में जी रहे हैं? आइए हम नम्रता, विश्वास और सेवा की भावना के साथ ईश्वर द्वारा सौंपी गई प्रत्येक जिम्मेदारी को निष्ठापूर्वक निभाने का संकल्प लें।
“Faithful Stewardship”
Today's readings remind us that all authority ultimately belongs to God, who entrusts responsibilities according to His wisdom and divine plan. In the Book of Isaiah, Shebna is removed from his high office because of pride and misuse of authority, while Eliakim is chosen and entrusted with the "key of the House of David," a symbol of authority, responsibility, and faithful service. In the Gospel, Peter receives the "keys of the Kingdom of Heaven" after his profound confession of faith: "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." This authority is entrusted to him not because of personal merit but because of his faith and the revelation given by God.
In the Letter to the Romans, St. Paul praises the unfathomable wisdom and knowledge of God, proclaiming that all things are from Him, through Him, and for Him. Every responsibility entrusted to us should therefore become an opportunity to glorify God through humble service. Today's liturgy invites us to examine ourselves: Do we use our authority to serve others or to satisfy our own interests? Are we faithful like Peter and Eliakim, or proud like Shebna? May the Lord grant us the grace to remain humble, faithful, and responsible stewards of every gift and mission He entrusts to us.
