“महान विश्वास”
"नारी, तुम्हारा विश्वास महान है। तुम्हारी इच्छा पूरी हो।"
आज के सुसमाचार में हम एक कनानी स्त्री के महान विश्वास को देखते हैं। वह अपने बेटी को अपदूत से छुड़ाने के लिए येसु के पास बार-बार अनुनय-विनय करती है। उसकी दृढ़ता और विनम्रता देखकर येसु प्रभावित होते हैं।
येसु के शिष्य उसे दूर करने की बात करते हैं, लेकिन स्त्री नहीं हारती। वह येसु के चरणों में गिरकर कहती है, “प्रभु मेरी सहायता कीजिए।” अंत में येसु कहते हैं, “नारी, तुम्हारा विश्वास महान है। तुम्हारी इच्छा पूरी हो।” और उसी क्षण उसकी बेटी अच्छी हो जाती है।
“Great is Your Faith”
“Woman, great is your faith! Let it be done for you as you desire.”
In today’s Gospel, we witness the deep and steadfast faith of a Canaanite woman. Despite her daughter being severely tormented by an evil spirit, she persistently pleads with Jesus for help.
Even when the disciples ask Jesus to send her away, she does not give up. She kneels before Him saying, “Lord, help me.” Jesus tests her faith, but her humble reply touches His heart: “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.”
Jesus then declares, “Woman, great is your faith!” and her daughter is healed instantly.
See how one woman’s strong faith changed the life of her child. As Jesus says in Luke 17:6, even faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains.
Let us examine our own hearts today: Is our faith like that of the Canaanite woman? Do we have even a mustard seed of true faith?
If not, let us pray to the Lord to grant us such living and persevering faith that grows stronger every day.
